duplicate memorial for Florence Blanchard
Your memorial #51929468 is apparently the original Find A Grave page made for her. I had found a memorial added by "NY FIND GRAVERS" and they had transferred it to me because I had the obit for her. At any rate, this has been pointed out to me and my memorial #121860660 for Florence should be deleted. However, perhaps you would add her obit to your page? Thanks so much!

SMYRNA Florence Frances Blanchard, formerly of Beaver Meadow Road, currently a resident of Grace Manor in Sherburne, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.

Born in Islington, London, England, she was a daughter of John W. and Florence Hillyer Howell. Fran spent three years as a WAAF in the RAF during World War II. She met her husband, Stewart Blanchard, when they were stationed in Kent, England where she was a wireless operator and he was in air-sea rescue. They were married in the Christ Church of Highbury, London, England on November 10, 1945. Fran arrived in the United States on the Queen Mary on Easter Sunday in 1946. Stewart predeceased her on Jan. 14, 1997. Fran worked in food service for over 15 years in the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District until her retirement.

Fran was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Smyrna; the Smyrna Fire Department Auxiliary; and was a Republican committee member who worked on the election board for many years.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Howell; a granddaughter, Julie L. Blanchard and three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Shaylee and Shianna Blanchard.

Burial in the Taylor Rural Cemetery, Taylor.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, c/o Barbara Parry, Treas., 321 County Rt. 20, Sherburne, NY 13460.

Rev Winston Burr Maricle
Hi Kim:
Thanks for adding to his bio. I just transcribe the obituaries as I find them, whatever changes you make are fine with me.
He was a wonderful man as well as a Pastor. I wanted to make sure he was not forgotten. After his wife Ruth passed, I made sure his family is together on Find a Grave to let people know how wonderful they were.
Thank you again for all that you do. It is people like you who make Find a Grave such a wonderful place to remember our loved ones.

RE: Elsie L.
Thank you for the quick response Kim and I might add, I am relieved that you didn't "know something" we didn't know about Aunt Elsie (she was a feisty lady but I'm not sure "Rosie" fit her personality).
I am new to Find a Grave so I am not sure what "transferring" means. Aunt Elsie was my mother's sister so a close relative, Yes, but since I am not sure what I would be doing if you transfer her to me, I think maybe she is best left with you, for now.
I have been trying to link people on Find a Grave to maybe help someone else connect to the family.

Elsie L."Rosie" Abbey Smith
Tink,
Could you please provide me with information as to why you have "Rosie" for Elsie Abbey Smith?
My mother was her sister and I have never heard anyone in the family call her "Rosie" so I am very interested in any information you have that we do not have in our family tree.
Thank you in advance for your assistance (and for adding to this website)

Julia T. Driscoll
Memorial # 77527530
I have checked with living relatives of Julia T. Driscoll and was advised that the middle initial T was not for Tehan. I am her first cousin 2x removed.

Can you advise where you got your information?
Thanks.

Lyle Wellington Luce
Hi. Would you mind transferring Lyle Luce's (#76722602) memorial to me? He was my uncle, my mother's brother. Thanks so much! Joyce Henderson

Thanks for the transfer! We're linking the family together, and may not have found some of these folks without your help. Thanks! Tim

RE: Re: DM Bennett
Thanks for your note about Donovan and Rosamond Bennett. They were the grandparents of my sister's husband, so I'm not directly related but would be happy to work with Donovan's memorial (94193854) if you want to transfer. Thanks for your help!
