RE: St.John the Baptist Anglican Church

In a search I found St. John the Baptist Churchyard listed as Tidebrook Churchyard.

St.John the Baptist Anglican Church

One of my areas of research is Ticehurst Sussex (I grew up in the village), in the process of searching for Ticehurst graves I came across 4 entries for members of the Ades family in records created by you.

They are shown as burials at St John the Baptist Anglican Church, Ticehurst.
I thought I should make you aware that there is only one church in Ticehurst, St. Mary the Virgin.

There is a St. John the Baptist Church in Tidebrook, Wadhurst, which is in the Wealden District of Sussex.

At the time the records were made I believe Tidebrook was in the Ticehurst Registration District, which is probably where the confusion has arisen.

Many thanks Jill for fulfilling my requests for gravestone photos for the above. It is very much appreciated. :)

All the best,
