I will transfer memorials to those that are direct descendants. |
My photos are available for your personal use such as adding to your Ancestry tree. I feel that anyone can visit a cemetery and take a photo and therefore it is not important to me to "claim a right" to a cemetery photo I have taken, especially if it is YOUR family member and not mine!
Here is a little something that another fellow Find-a-Grave member, Jeff Gonyea, put on his profile:
"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most.
The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and honor."
This is very much the truth! I spend hours upon hours walking through cemeteries taking photos, looking up obituary info online and creating memorials for people I do not know, but have departed this life, so that others can find them and remember them for future generations.

Thank you so much for the transfer :)
I was wondering if you would consider transferring the memorial of Ada Gay Fisher to me, she is my grandmother
|Amanda Martin||Michael Arndt|
Thank you so much for the pictures!
|Wendy & John Corcoran||Thank you for the Anna Wolf photo|
Also, my maiden name of Leyes at this cemetery still needs to be found and photographed, when you go back next.
Thank you hugs for your dedication to families, Happy Belated Mother's Day, Wendy

You are absolutely correct about her dates. I don't always keep my data straight between Ancestry and Find A Grave. I'll make a note on her memorial. Her marker is a fairly obscure one at Lough Church. None of her family is there - or at least have marked graves.
She was my great aunt. But my father was adopted into another family so I didn't know the Blakes very well.

Thank you. Someone just made an error when copying.

I believe you put this child on the wrong memorial. I have been working with this family and they have never been in Michigan and cannot find any where This person Cassius Helper has come in contact with this person. Plus you have him as her son and he was born 2 years before she was and I don't show where he has lived with either of her husbands her memorial is 8407673
Her birth name was Ada Ethel Reid and she married a Bond first and then a Stanhope. I believe he needs to be removed off of both the places you have put him with her. Also Ada has never been married to a Damon P Williamson 146031849. Please help me to fix these memorials.
there is two memeriol for this person
