I am 43 years old and have lived most of my life around the Appleton City Mo area and am currently living about 8 miles west of A.C.. I have three children (all teens, ugg) and married my high school sweetheart. I got started in family history while in high school but didn't get very far with it. I have recently picked up my family history again through Ancestry.com and that's how I found out about Find A Grave. At first glance thought Find A Grave might be a gimmick but soon realized that there is a lot of neat things about it. Shortly there after I signed up as volunteer photographer. While I claim no real photography skills, I use my iphone and computer and upload the photo's. |
I have a few pages that I have made a copy of from Find A Grave of some family members, and use this to illustrate to people that don't know or don't understand about Find A Grave or what I am up to. Almost all have commented that that is neat and didn't realize that this information is available online.
My main territory for cemetery photo's is eastern Bates county, northwestern St. Clair county and southwestern Henry county MO. Feel free to use my photo's (no commercial use please).
So looking forward to the day I slip out of this world and catch up with my eternal family. God bless, and happy family hunting!

That sounds great thanks! I've run across research on the Jameson(Jamison ) Bourland marriage that says he was buried there and notes from sources but, like you, I can't prove it without finding records . I will look into that. Also , I'll see if I can't track down who Mary Jamison is and will get back with you. Thanks for the reply and your time. Doreen

Larry, another big thank you for the photos of my Bellomy family and I know I speak for many in thanking you for doing a photo index of all of the visible markers at Round Prarie. Appreciate your time and dedication. And the great photos.

Larry, thanks so much for your efforts in photographing Teays Chapel Cemetery. I really appreciate all of your help. It was taking me forever to get the photos taken.

Thank you so much for taking the photos for Joseph C. & Emily Miller Ambrose and their daughter Anna Scott wife of John Scott. It's been a long search to find Joseph C. Ambrose. He is my GG-Uncle born in Page County Virginia. We lost track of him so it's great to have some closer as to where he ended up.

Thank you for your efforts to locate and photograph his gravesite. His death certificate stated he was buried at Fields Creek Cemetery. Several of his children were also buried there, so apparently there is no headstone.

None of the names entered have been entered elsewhere in Henry Co. Almost all are infants, young children who may not have had gravestones. Suspect listings entered in cemetery are correct.

Noted you filled about 20 requests for me today - Sullivan, Briggs and Browning families. I am glad the several infants have stones. It was interesting that someone has added nice plaques to some of the worn stones, so you can tell who is interred in the grave, I hadn't seen that done before. Photos are your usual excellent standard, THANKSABUNCH.
