Samuel G. Steen
Samuel G. Steen, a pioneer of Montgomery County, but of late years making his home in Emerson,
died Oct. 1, in Brodhead, N. Y., where he and Mrs. Steen had been for a visit with relatives. The remains
were brought back to Emerson, and funeral services in the M.E. church were held by Rev. E. B.
Linn, assisted by Rev. Walter A. Morgan, on Thursday afternoon. The deceased was born in 1836 in Franklin county, Penn. He was twice married1, and a son by his first wife William T., lives at Lorimor.
This first wife died in 1901, and he was married in 1906 to Mrs.Ida Young who survives him
