The Guidelines are NOT rules, they are Guidelines and anyone can go outside of those guidelines if they choose to be kind enough to transfer memorials to family members of the dearly departed.
It is called kindness, consideration and compassion.
For many it's all about the number of Memorials they can collect. For others like myself, it's about FAMILY! How sad and selfish that numbers mean more than family.
I am not a Memorial hoarder. I honestly don't have the time or energy with my illness to take care of thousands of Memorials.
I only have Memorials for family and (VERY CLOSE FRIENDS that meant a lot to me.)
'Some' of my Memorials are cousins, Aunts, Uncles etc and I appreciate that I am entrusted to their Memorials. Sometimes we can be VERY close to an Aunt or Uncle, cousin or even nephew.
I personally feel a persons Memorial should be given to a living family member if it's held by a non family member.... that's just how I feel about it.
I'm VERY grateful for those people (you know who you all are) who transferred to me when they didn't have to, out of the goodness of their hearts. Most of the time I didn't even request a transfer. It means a lot to me and sometimes it was not according to the guidelines....but they did it anyway. God Bless em!
That's what it's all about, it's called compassion and kindness.
How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.
One day you'll just be a memory to others. Do your best to be a good one.
God Bless. | |

 | Margaret Elizabeth Murphy Smart Hi!
I noticed you left flowers to her (your 2nd great grandmother). She is also my Great Grandmother.
So it seems we are cousins!!
Could I ask which child you descend from? I descent from her son Lee.
Thanks! TroyAdded by tsmart on May 06, 2013 1:13 PM | | | t. stephens

 | Forest Lawn West Hi, I have made several attempts to find the grave for your photo request at Forest Lawn West. The office no longer gives out locations to photo volunteers, and this cemetery has easily over 25,000 graves. Although I do often find graves by hiking around randomly, finding one grave is like finding a needle in a haystack. Please call the office (704-392-2104) for a grave location and email me directly and I will be very happy to go get the photo. Thanks! Traysteph23@yahoo.com | | | KATIE

 | Sarah Jane Mosteller Bridges I have transferred her memorial to you. She was my wife's 3rd cousin 4x removed. We are primarily doing research on the Mosteller line but I found enough data to add her to findagrave. Do you have any info on her husband's burial or her 1st husband, who was John W. Vaughn, I believe? Wayne | | | Michael
 | Cousin Nice to meet you cousin. I think that would make us 3rd cousins 1x removed.Added by Michael on Mar 04, 2013 5:43 AM | | | Michael
