 | Photos - thank you! Hi I wanted to Thank you for taking the time to photograph Oscar Prue and James Hopkins markers. Can I ask if these were close to each other? Pretty sure that this James is Oscar's Father in Law, but would be more likely if they are is close proximity ;-)
thank you again! | | | Kim Barnes

 | RE: May E Bertsch at West Laurel Hill Cemetery Dear Robert Adlet,
According to the cemetery's online records, there are 17 Bertsch's buried in West Laurel Cemetery. There is only 1 Albert Monroe Bertsch listed on that list. The online listing has him being buried in Marlborough 654 with a Florence Bertsch and having the dates of 1891-1949. As far as he being a Sr. or Jr. it doesn't say.
I see that there was a Find A Grave memorial created for a Albert Monroe Bertsch Jr. and supposedly buried at Marlborough 654. That brings up a bit of confusion since it is not on the cemetery online listing. I am not sure if the online record is missing this Jr. or if the Find A Grave memorial was created in error.
As far as my visit, there were no other Bertsch stones in the immediate area of May and Ellwood Bertsch.
If you want to search the online listing for this cemetery, te link is: http://www.webcemeteries.com/westlaurelhill/Name_Results.Asp.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck, Antonio | | | RosiePosie
 | RE: Susan Peek 1813-1879 I checked with the office at Greenwood Cemetery. We looked in the book at the Peek family plot and found 11 people buried there, but no William A. J. Peek. I also checked my index for all of Johnson County and there is not a William A.J. Peek listed. If you have an exact date of his death, we can look further in other books. The only other thing is he may be buried without a headstone. That might be the reason why he wouldn't be in my index. Sorry. If you know the exact date, let me know.

 | Ortons and Caldwells at Greenlawn Columbus Hello,
Thanks for the kudos... I noticed the large plot marker going to a family burial plot one section over.
As an Ohio State University grad, the name Orton is very familiar, I had several classes in Orton Hall during my 4 years as an undergrad. Sure enough, when I investigated, it was Samuel Orton Sr's family plot! I remember sitting in an alcove, studying at Orton Hall that had a brass plaque about him.
It was my pleasure to help out.

 | RE: Susan Peek 1813-1879 I'll check with the office to see if he has an unmarked grave. This sometimes happens. Let you know in the next couple of days.

 | RE: Greenwood Cemetery While I was at Greenwood Cemetery doing your family's photos, I noticed other Peeks very close by. I checked the index and decided to do all their photos too. They may be part of your family as well. You might check this cemetery's index.
Blessings,

 | RE: Clara Belle Smith Torrey I can get one, I go near there often. I notice the dates on her stone don't match the dates on the memorial page. I can send the originals if you like or take surrounding pictures also.
