I spend most of my free time working on my Family history and find roaming old cemeteries is amazing. I create the memorials to go with the pictures and will gladly transfer the memorial to a family member unless the person is a member of my family. Some of the headstones I see are nearly unreadable, some are eroded to the point they can no longer be read. This saddens me knowing they are lost forever, no one will ever know who they were. By taking photos and sharing the info, maybe someone who is searching will find what they are seeking.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on. Cherished memories will never fade, because one loved is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they live with in our heart.

PET PEEVE: Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links, refuse to edit and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet "findagrave guidelines" (well what the heck do you do about those relatives that died in the 1800's) Shame on you! I understand its your CHOICE Not WRITTEN In STONE you have to keep them, so WHY do you want to keep them!!!
AND those "contributors" that don't respond after several attempts for corrections, Ok so you decide it's not your thing, Transfer your memorials over to someone else to manage. The ones in pursuit of their Ancestors deserve to find accurate information for their family. If you dont agree, dont make the memorials. | |

 | RE: Just wondering?? I really do not know what to do. I have written to Find A Grave but have heard nothing. Have been trying for a couple of months for her to respond to my transfer request, but with no answers. It look like others are having the same problem. Maybe if we all write to Find A Grave they will look into the problem.

 | RE: Photos My next book, which I have been working on since Dec. is called, "How Did They Die? Murdered in the Line of Duty in Texas." I hope to have it finished by Christmas if I can just sit down and write! You will like the second book more than the first. More current stories and lots more details! Julie | | | Linda Barrett

 | RE: Schumachers It is not necessary to transfer to me. I am happy that the information is out there. I did send you an edit because I gave you the wrong number for Henry Franklin's father. Thanks alot for the offer and additions. Connie 46984521 | | | Peggy Fairchild
