Thanks for your message. I agree that Barrick is correct for David and Jessie, although they are not, as far as I can tell at least, connected to Jeremiah.
The Jeremiah I am looking for is son of George and Catherine Whistler Barrack. George left Pennsylvania for Ohio, and from family lore, his brother left about the same time, and they disagreed on the spelling of the surname. George believed it was Barrack and his records indicate he kept that spelling as did his descendants. His brother kept the Barrick spelling.
I have a copy of Jeremiah BARRACK's death certificate showing he died Jan 26, 1909 in Defiance County, so I was wondering just which spelling was on the gravestone.
If you are related, would be glad to email copy of death certificate... just email me.
