J M Asserson
Hi Sam

I am looking for an Asserson and I think it could Joseph Marcus. According to my grandmother's birth register, she (Joan Marjorie Asserson) was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on 14/06/1930 to Margaret Judith Ungerer and a J M Asserson.

She was told that he was from Belgium, had his own business in Port Elizabeth and died on his way abroad when my grandmother was only a few months old. I think my gran may have been born out of wedlock so I don't know how much of that story is true, but if you can help in any way I'd really appreciate it.

Kind regards

Photo Request in Holy Cross cemetery Detroit MI
Hi,
I noticed that you have one or more photo requests for people buried in Holy Cross cemetery in Detroit MI. There cemetery office has permanently closed, all of their records were sent to the Our Lady of Hope cemetery office. Please call them at (734) 285-2155 to get the plot location of your loved ones, this way find a grave volunteers in the area can accurately locate the stone.

Thank you. Is he a Find A Grave member? If not, I'm pretty sure that one can't leave messages on behalf of a non-member.

You left a note on her grave stating she was your 7th great grandmother. Again, I ask, how are you related to her and to her son, Capt. Samuel Robinson? If so, we would be cousins and I always look forward to meeting cousins.

Photo of Graveyard
I am curious about the photo you posted with Ralph Newby, Memorial # 92913575. Is this a photo of the cemetery at Easington or Dublin?

I am also curious about the gravestones. It seems that the prohibition against Quakers having gravestones occured after this date.
