Have been a genealogist since 1966 and doing it by computer since 1984. Had a massive stroke in 1998 which placed me in a wheelchair for life, paralyzed on my left side. (I was left-handed) and the computer genealogy helps to keep me busy and occupied. It is this site (FIND-A-GRAVE) that opened my eyes to the dubious pleasure of collecting photos of headstones and death certificates. And most of all a growing reverence of cemeteries and burial practices. Have found many wonderful friends and new relatives. This place gives me great solace to be able to create memorials for persons who might otherwise not be memorialized. Genealogy is truly my passion. Many of the gravestone photos were from these links: ~~~~~ Please leave a memento for our son, John ~~~~ John M. Duffield Cemetery ~~~ Recorded and compiled by Beatrice Jackson Miller 7/14/1998. The information contained within ( ) is not recorded on stones, but has been gathered from other sources and is thought to be correct but the compiler does not guarantee it's accuracy.
