Bio and Links
Bio Photo A link in the chain has been broken;
Your loved one has gone to rest.
But through your tear dimmed eyes you see,
That a loving God knows best.
And you must go on without her, and though your loss is great,
She will be there to meet you
At Heaven's Golden Gate.

By Marvel Bennett, written for my mother, Lois Goodman Skinner
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says,
"Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song,
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine thru.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

RE: Lucy (Ainsworth) Scully
I'm sorry for my knee jerk reaction. A distant relative took over my family line of succession, and despite asking, I've been refused. The information is unbelievably wrong. My mom hasn't been gone that long, so that was a dagger in my heart. I do apologize.

I'm not all bent out of shape. I don't understand taking over the memorial of someone that is not in your family tree. I don't understand doing that. Would you explain to me why you claimed my Great Aunt Lucy?

RE: Nancy Unknown/Wheeler

Someone added that last name after the stone was carved. I still don't see a W and that is why it looked like Heet or Heel. Ha. I have seen that headstone inscription before, but didn't remember all of the last line. Have a good week!

RE: Lucy (Ainsworth) Scully
It's up to my cousin to decide how she wants to handle the impingement regarding her/our family. It's not okay to do something like this. It would be wrong of me to relay information regarding her direct line of succession

Nancy H. Wheeler
I looked long and hard at the picture and I think it is Wheeler. Wheel then er on the next line. Not the usual but I think you are right that it is Wheeler.
