I have always loved cemeteries, both for their aesthetic qualities and the infinite stories they contain about individuals, communities, and history as a whole.
This site is a wonderful escape for me; I appreciate the way it combines art, history, and paying respects to the deceased.
I take photos here in Polk County, Florida, 99.99 percent of whom are not my relatives. If you find that I've added a memorial for your Floridian friend or family member, I'll be happy to transfer the memorial to you if you wish. I'm also able to add information and return to get photos of nearby graves, etc.
I depend on generous Find A Grave volunteers to take photos for my own relatives in cemeteries in Michigan, Ohio, New York State, and throughout New England. Thank you, thank you to all those who have created memorials and added photos and information for my family members in faraway states.
Although it is not my sole reason for contributing to this site, genealogy is my passion. I love to help others; please contact me for more information about any of my primary families of research. I have volumes. Literally.
Packard, Beal, Ford, and Everett in Michigan, New York State, and Massachusetts.
Rudisill and Miller in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan.
Rushmore in New York State and Long Island, also in Michigan.
Allard, Ray, Tracy, and Bingham in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Cloyd, Woodmansee, Mutchner, and Swihart in Ohio. Also Mutchner in Maryland and Cloyd in Virginia.
Wolnowski, Kwiatkowsky, Wilkewitz, Kummer, Wobbrock, and Jaffke in Detroit, Michigan and Prussia/Germany.
Kruzynski and Lewandowski in Toledo and Detroit.
Foye, Leach, Casson, and McVey in Brooklyn, NYC.
Practically everyone in Massachusetts and Connecticut pre-1800.

The Lady in Black
 | William Mortzfeld @ Woodmere Hi!
I posted a photo of his stone. It's not a very good one, I'll admit, but it's better than nothing I guess. I can't dig them up anymore. He's right next to his wife Louisa--her stone is fine.
Hope all is well with you, and I wish I could have done better on his photo.
Take care! | | | Daniel Pletcher
 | Photo Request in Holy Cross cemetery Detroit MI Hi, I noticed that you have one or more photo requests for people buried in Holy Cross cemetery in Detroit MI. There cemetery office has permanently closed, all of their records were sent to the Our Lady of Hope cemetery office. Please call them at (734) 285-2155 to get the plot location of your loved ones, this way find a grave volunteers in the area can accurately locate the stone. -Daniel Pletcher
P.S. Also please keep me informed on any new Wobrock info. that you may find. I am still trying to get past Ferdinand, and still am trying to find burial info. for them and August and Anna. Thanks | | | Al
 | Packard Autographs Hello, I have an autograph book given by George Prescott Packard to a grandchild. It also has the autograph of George's father George Adams Packard (#68900162) who signed the book the year he died. Do you know anyone who would appreciate having this book? | Rhonda, Findagrave member Do you know if Rhonda is still active? I noticed your posts to her in mid-1212. She has a memorial that I need, so I wonder what is going on with her work on Find a Grave. Thanks for any input. | | | L.M. Shiver Thomas
 | Shiver Memorials Dear M.E. Packard,
Thank you very much for the Shiver memorial transfers. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication in preserving ancestral history for present and future generations to come.

 | Packard family info I assume that you are related to Randall Packard (buried in Kent County, Michigan) and his wife Mary REED Packard. I just sent you biographical data regarding Mary and her family (the Reeds). Her three brothers, John R., Thomas Law, and Samuel L. Reed ended up in California and in the late 1870s were jointly dry farming about 72,000 acres of wheat in Fresno county, CA. If you wish, you can read the very interesting bios of her brothers through the link I sent you for her mother who died and is buried in Reedley, CA. | | | Lisa
 | RE: Alice Cleveland I really appreciate the offer, but you don't have to. I just wanted to update her memorial with a picture I had. Thank you though :)Added by Lisa on Jan 13, 2013 9:44 PM | | | The Lady in Black

 | Cousin???? You have my grandmother listed as one of your relatives, which makes you one of my relatives! My Grandmother is Eula Mary Packard Brown. I want to thank you for leaving a flower on her memorial also. She is buried in the Covert Cemetery in Covert, Michigan. | | | Sheri Nozawa
 | RE: thanks You're so very welcome! I'm sorry that I didn't have my brush with me when I stopped by that day, or they would have been nicely cleared off. :( Also sorry people are waiting so long to get photos from Woodmere. It's really big and a lot of the stones are buried. The Jaffka stones were right up at the surface though! Cheers! | | | | [View all messages...] |
