Penn Bownds
Thanks for the adding info to his memorial. John Bownds (Bounds), a preacher & farmer, brought his family to Texas from Mississippi and he changed his name from Bounds to Bownds. (The story is that he had a brother that was also a preacher who came to Texas and the spelling tell them apart.)
All my life my name has been misspelled. The good thing is that if you see "Bownds", you know what family line they're from.
I also have noticed that on headstones. On some, I think whoever had them made didn't know the spelling. I have seen WWI draft reg. with
"Bownds" & they signed their name with "w", but their headstones have "Bounds".
But, I have also noticed that a few of John's grandchildren did start spelling their name "Bounds'.
It's pretty confusing. Thanks so much for checking it out and all you do for Find A Grave.

I am a very distant relative so, I think you for your willingness to make the transfer, But, not at this time. Maybe some one closer to her will want it.

SHARPE FAMILY
Thank you so much for the Sharpe information. I am very busy trying to digest all of it. My Sharp family are from east Tennessee, so that rang a bell.

Jane Alexander Sharpe
Do you know the name or any information for Jane Alexander Sharpe's husband. I noticed you left flowers for Jane. I would appreciate any help.

Joe McKnight photo request
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336

or the email link is:
http://www.laurellanddallas.com/home/contact_us.html

There are over 520 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help!

RE: Sarah Holleman Garrison
I am not certain about anything. What I do know is that Clinton and Albina Holleman had a daughter Sarah Jane, born Jan 1891 in Rusk Co, Texas. She seems to vanish after she came of age.

Best regards, MaryP, Orlando

J.E. Holt...
Oops... I see I've already transferred the memorial to you. At any rate, you may wish to add the following GPS information to the memorial since I have already done the conversions:

As written by my GPS into the actual RAW file source image data:

Latitude: 33° 39' 48.54" N
Longitude: 95° 28' 29.34" W

(Degree minute second format symbols in above notation may not survive HTML encoding of this Public Message form submission.)

Decimal conversion for Google Earth and Find A Grave:

33.66348,-95.47482

I will also submit this info via the Edit suggestion on the memorial itself.

I have been contacted by Michael Briggs (#47135989) requesting GPS information on the burial I recorded in Union Grove Cemetery. I have researched this matter and the location of the grave I photographed is definitively correct. If you will provide me with an email address (my email link is published on my profile) I will be happy to copy you on my response to him, which contains GPS coordinates and a Google Earth KML file showing the exact location of the grave within a foot or two (high end GPS, not a consumer point and shoot camera). Since I am not related to Mr. Holt, I would also be willing to transfer the memorial so long as you both agree by whom it should be managed.
