The public message board below is for messages for me... not corrections/edits to memorials.
It has been brought to my attention that obituaries are not to be placed, transcribed, whatever on memorial pages, nor are the photos from the obit/funeral to be used. I am working to correct the errors of my ways, so if you find some, please just let me know. There is no way to show which pictures of mine are not my legitimate tombstone photos and which ones are belonging to Copyright.
Sometimes too much information is just too much information. Don't tell me the five step plan you think I should follow, just give me the information you want added or updated. Seriously. Insulting someone's intelligence is not the way to get what you want, and it's completely unnecessary to the maintenance/upkeep of the memorial.
For those of you sweet, wonderful, unassuming people I deal with, I thank you so much for your contributions! This is obviously not for you. This is for the people who think Find A Grave is all about them and not about honoring the dead. I can tell you the last three "qualifying" transfers I've done were not even requested by anyone. Yes. The last three transfers I have done that actually qualified by Find A Grave guidelines were because someone thanked me for creating the memorial for their husband or parents. They didn't even ask for a transfer... which is in stark contrast to your crazy request. Virtual cemeteries are for you, my dear. | |
