Bio and Links
Bio Photo One of the best features of Find A Grave is that it provides a forum where years of genealogical research can be shared with others. Please let me know if you have additional biographical or statistical information for any of my memorials, as it is always welcome. The wealth of knowledge that others have sent to me through Find A Grave is astounding.

If you are aware of links for parents and/or spouses that I have not yet added, I would appreciate it if you would use the edit tab to leave the name and memorial number of the person or people who should be linked.

Thanks to all those who have generously shared your family stories and beautiful photos with me. I sincerely appreciate being allowed to add them to the memorials for your loved ones. The pictures and studio portraits that for years have been carefully preserved in family photo albums, add such a wonderful dimension to Find A Grave. They help create a memorial tribute that is all the more special and meaningful.

Before asking for a memorial transfer, please determine whether or not this is really necessary. Transfers of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections even if you are not the memorial manager. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a transfer request. It would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire family trees.

Transfers will only be considered if they comply strictly with Find A Grave guidelines. You must state your exact relationship to the deceased. People who request transfers and then fail to improve and maintain the memorial are certainly not honoring the memory of their family member.

Bulk surname transfers will not be considered under any circumstances.

I have put a lot of time and effort into my memorials on Find A Grave. I strive to make sure that the information on them is as accurate as possible, but I am realistic and know that mistakes do happen. Please use the edit tab to leave a message regarding any errors or omissions that need to be corrected.

By working together, we can continue to build Find A Grave into a better and better site!

Note: 30 Sep 2013 marked a very sad day for all Find A Grave contributors when the founder of this website sold us out to

I will continue to add to and maintain my memorials as long as Find A Grave remains a completely free website, open to all without charge.

RE: Arnold Detterman
It's fine I'll just go back through my pictures and find it again. It was with a family plot so I'll have enough information. I've only seen that happen once before, I was on your end and the other person deleted it, once they did that it all worked out. That's where I got the idea of just deleting it and trying everything over.

I think we got "bugged." We seemed to have found a bug in the system. It seems like your memorial and mine somehow merged corrupted to make an odd one. I've been doing work in the Gays Mills one but I didn't put that picture with that name, and find it out that the transcriber would have either. So I will delete it, and if we bother start over maybe it will work out better for us both??? I have a feeling if there is a computer error with that memorial even if we fix locations or name it may act oddly in the future if some else tries to add photos or anything.

Harley Looney
I think he is the right one. The birthplace is correct and Butler Co is not that far away for death place. It appears from census records that they were not living together in 1940. Rose was the head of the household in 1940 and living in IL with her children and status is widowed. The info about his birth is correct on the death cert, but I like you see inconsistencies in other info. That happened a lot on death certs. They are filled out by family members. Sometimes they put widowed as opposed to divorce since divorce carried social stigma. I could not find Harley on the 1940 census.

As for Avis. Her last name is listed as Wiggins on the 1910 census and aged 2. She is the step granddaughter of the head of household (Warren Wilson Gilliland). Rose Fulbright, her mother is the step daughter of the head of the household. Her mother is Mary Jane Fulbright Fulbright Gilliland! I see Peter Fulbright is her father. What a tangled mess to figure out. The Fulbrights all had a Peter or Phillip and a Mary Jane. Then they kept marrying Fulbrights or Gillilands. Thanks for posting the obit. That helps. Now if I can find the correct Peter to link her to in my tree.

Hi Lynn, I have a question about Henry Rullkoetter. He is my grandfather. You have that he worked for the Harry Knollman Mfg Co. Where did you get that information? I could not find any information about this company. I know at one time he worked for the Mercantile Cigar Co which was F.R.Rice Mercantile Cigar Co. according to his WW1 draft card.
Thanks, Carolyn Scism

Thank you so much for the beautiful words you wrote about my Grandmother. She was very proud of her bowling and her accomplishments. It was nice to read about my Grandpa too, I wish I would have gotten to meet him. I miss her everyday. Thank you again for taking the time. Many blessings to you.

Hi Lynn,
You're so sweet! I am so glad to hear that this mystery is solved, but it's all to the credit of Aunt Sue (Find A Grave no. 18287703) and her prolific poem collection! I'll be glad to attach both sides of the clipping and send them to you if you like; my email is
Take care,

I began transcribing this cemetery when I worked there and added records from the interment books and walked each garden w my camera. I created an Excel spreadsheet (sortable) with all the interments. I am now rewalking each garden with my spreadsheet and checking off each interment for accuracy. I am finding in each garden, I missed markers here and there. Living the capture and find myself apologizing outloud to the deceased! I know--I'm a lunatic!
