I transcribe and photograph cemeteries/grave sites because I know there is someone out there who can't make the trip or who doesn't really know where their loved ones resting place may be. My Motto: By Preserving Our Past, We Prepare For The Future!jhh That one transcription or photo CAN make a difference!|
This pix is of my baby girl (Toni Stewart), she is named after Tony Stewart of NASCAR.
My computer has been on the sickly side and I am trying to catch up. Thanks to all for bearing with me.

Thanks so much for your reply and offer of research help. I live in FL and have never been to Bulloch Co. but hope to be able to go sometime in the not too distant future. I gather that the library is in Statesboro? Some info I have suggests that my gr-gr-GM, Mary Ann Hagan/Hogan(s), parents may have been James & Sarah Hagan/Hogan but nothing to substantiate this.

I grew up with his daughter Alicia. We went to Cathedral Day School together. Small world!

Joshua & Harriet are my maternal gr-gr-gr-grandparents. Their grandson Jacob James married Martha Jane Carson (my gr-grandparents) whose mother was Mary Ann Hagan(s)/ Hogan(s) from Bulloch, GA. I've been trying to determine if she is a Hagan(s) or Hogan(s) as I've see both names with & w/o the s. As yet, I've been stymied about who her parents were. She was born abt. 1847/46 & died in Lee Co.(now), FL. She was married to Morgan Carson, also b. in GA. Because of the Kirkland / Hagan / Hogan connections I was wondering if you might have any info regarding Mary Ann or her parents. email@example.com 8/19/15

Hello. My sister and I are currently transcribing Gibbs Chapel Cemetery in Blount County Alabama. She is the on the spot and I am doing computer inputs from her notes. As you can see from the geo or aerial view of the cemetery there are many spots which have no markers but I believe based on the layout, must have bodies in them. Anne Self has the most current list of names of persons buried in the cemetery but I believe there have been fires which destroyed the names in the past so there may be some names in graves which can not be determined. I hope that those numbers prove to be small and if we can make an accurate accounting of the number of bodies there we can work from that. A helpful thing is that most loved ones or family members were buried nearest their family. I'd love to talk to you about the possibility of working together if you are interested. 580-301-0138 Deborah Ashworth Parker.
