My Great Great Grandfather was Robert W. Sales from north of Batesville AR. Our last record of him is June 8, 1862. Can you tell me anything about the Confederate soldier Robert Sales. Please respond. If this is the same man it would answer a lot of questions for several families.

Bessie King d. 1942 Plot: Section 01, Lot 0Z6, Grave 29 Requested by kennet king Nov 01, 2014
She is not in Oakland Cemetery. The City Register has her there. She is really buried in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Memorial # 96784246. The 01 section on any memorial listed in Oakland is really in Myrtle Hill.
RE: did you get those photos? Hi Ken, that's a very kind offer - two in fact. Thanks very much. I didn't manage to get a photo of my grandfather's headstone, but my mother did soon after I posted my comment on Find A Grave. I have also had some help in finding out more about him and for now at least my mother is satisfied. I think it was mostly about getting closure on what happened to him after the war, and we now know that he settled in LA and was buried at Riverside in 1990.
RE: Colonle Dad Hi Kennet, I guess you noticed that I put in a request for a photo of you Dad's marker. A volunteer took it rather quickly. Sometimes it can take months or never to get a photo taken. I am interested in most murder cases especially ones that have not been solved. The Zodiak is of particular interest. They think it may have been solved. We'll see... Do you live in L.A.? I don't get to cemeteries often but I have gone out and taken photos when there are requests. Suzy
