Bio and Links
Bio Photo A group of us had formed a nonprofit foundation to assist the City of Cleveland in restoration of Woodland Cemetery. I will look up names and take photographs of the headstones/graves for those buried in Woodland Cemetery. If you plan on visiting the cemetery, I will also be glad to meet you there to show you the graves of who you are looking for. In some cases the graves may be unmarked. Check out our website to search our database of burials and ongoing events and projects at www.wcfcle.org. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Mary Barrett
Thank you for your message (February 2016) to me regarding your efforts in finding my great grandmother, Mary Catherine Kenney-Murray-Barrett's, grave in the Woodland Cemetery. I just had a second researcher there who also could not find her.

My request came from the FamilySearch.org site showing the following:

Mary Catherine Barrett

Name Mary Catherine Barrett
Maiden Name Kenney

Event Date 1883
Event Place Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States of America
Photograph Included N
Birth Date 26 Jun 1843
Death Date 09 Sep 1883
Affiliate Record Identifier 121803805
Cemetery Woodland Cemetery

It's frustrating to think that she is lost somewhere there in Cleveland as are the graves of her five children. Her first four children all died between November 7 - 22, 1876 in the Diphtheria Epidemic of 1876-1877. Her youngest infant died in June of 1883, just prior to her death due to apoplexy.

I sincerely thank you again for your efforts.

Trommlitz/Tromlitz headstone
Thank you for going to all the extra trouble to uncover the headstone of William Trommlitz, my second great grandfather and his second wife, Wilhelmina, and photograph it for me. Needless to say, I am thrilled. Jan Fultz

Let me know if there are others that I've entered in Woodlawn when you come across them, and I'll transfer them. Believe me when I say I have enough on my hands with my research in the Cincinnati area.

RE: Schreiber Augusta @ Woodland
I research and photograph in several of the oldest cemeteries in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and most have a lot of issues when it comes to burial locations. But I don't feel like debating with you about what you deem the appropriate standardized way of listing burials in 'your cemetery'. If you come across any more that I'm maintaining send me a message regarding them and I'll transfer them to you.

All the info you wanted it changed to was already on the memorial. That's why I rejected the request. I wasn't aware the format of the info was causing you issue.
