Due to what I consider to be harassment, I regret that I will be off of FAG for a while. I may return at a later date. Thank you for your understanding.|
"My name is Sue; how do you do?" (Johnny Cash)
I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 12,000 people in my database. We have a large private genealogy website; if you believe you are part of my extended family, please contact me!
I am in the process of adding the over 2,000 family members and ancestors I have found to date who were murdered in the Holocaust. This will take me quite a while, especially for Auschwitz & Sobibor, but I will continue until they are all memorialized. They are in my virtual cemeteries. So far over 1200 have been added; more than 750 souls in Auschwitz alone. (I only ask that you please not leave them any Christian symbols or wording.) My deepest gratitude to each and every one who has so kindly visited these murdered souls. "Never Again."
I currently live in Manassas, VA, not far from Washington, DC. I am a former Navy Nurse (Vietnam Era), civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I am still a photographer & do some tutoring in addition to my genealogy work. I was recently RIF'd from my nurse educator position at a local university, so have more time for marker photo requests for you.
Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!!
I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours, if possible. Please don't put them in my "Message" section.
I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's memorial and leave a token so I know you've been there. I lost him in 2011 and the pain is still so great. Thank you so much to those who have already visited him. I have also listed four of my special animal babies & a very special cousin; they would love to see you too. I miss them all. Thank you so very much.
I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.
Special December Birthdays:
02: Rhonda's brother
05: Walt Disney
Special December Angel Days:
10: Joyce's Mom
25: Colleen's Dad
The tokens I make come from my heart. I am honored when I see them placed on memorials by YOU. My only request is that you please don't alter them. Thanks!
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Thank you so much for the token you left for my Dad's cousin. And thank you for your service as a Navy nurse. I'm honored to have the opportunity to thank you directly for your selfless service.

Thanks for the note you left on MY daddy's memorial - sorry if I didn't thank you before. I'm a little slow, but I get there! :-)

Hi Sue :
Just went to visit Izzy's memorial & "someone" had removed my bullying token & my message w/the exception of the "rest in peace sweetie" <----what the heck ??? I didn't see anything wrong w/the token I had left for her,did you ? I guess the truth hurts @ times & some people just can't/won't face reality, which is so sad :(

Thanks. I lost 2 cousins and a sister in 6 weeks. My other sister lost two cats (Dotty and another one) and a dog in the last year.

Thank you for your "sister" flower. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed it.
You are very welcome Twinsie :-)

Yah ! I saw that AFTER I sent you the last message (Kameron isn't one of your memorials) but...it's the thought that counts, right ? I was sitting here thinking a few moments ago back to when my daughter was in high school(she graduated in 2010)
& there was a guy in one of her class's that was always & forever being a complete jerk...he wouldn't leave her alone etc so one day,I got a phone call that she had punched him in the nose !
I was laughing so hard that I couldn't talk to the person who had called me....to bad these poor kids who are being bullied nowadays couldn't /wouldn't of done the same thing, huh ? I guess my daughter was one of the "lucky one's" so to speak...

Hi Sue :
The story about the 19 year old was/is shocking to say the least.I just sponsored one of your memorials (Kameron.Jacobson)...what a cutie he was & with so much going for him....looks like almost of your memorials in this virtual cemetery are being sponsored which I think is GREAT !!!
Keep up the good work Sue :-)
