Uncle Tony &Aunt Annie
Dear Daryl, i am Wendy Gorman Strang, I am Amys twin sister. I am so glad to hear the info amy shared with me from you about uncle Tony and aunt Annie. They were really more than an aunt and uncle,,,,they were our garndparents. we have many memories since we spent our weekends with them and they were part of our daily lives. Uncle Tony was the sweetest kindest man and always had time for amy and me. He taught us so much about gardening and would let us work in his garden with him. We would just sit in the garage with him in the shade on a hot day. he made the best ice cream cones and his strawberries he grew were the best. i remember uncle joe comming over on saturday to watch the ball game and he always had a cigar in his mouth. he would give us a quarter too. phil and ed were always so nice to us too.I often felt even when i was a child that i wish i would have known their parents. To have raised such a wonderful man. well i could go on for so long but will end here. sincerely wendy gorman strang

Dear Daryl,
My name is Amy Delaney. I am the seventh daughter of Sam and Anita (Mercer)Gorman. My mother came to live with Aunt Annie and Uncle Tony when she was 14-15 years old from Strawn Texas. Her mother Cecilia and Aunt Annie were sisters. My sister Laura sent me the file on Uncle Tonys life and funeral. Thank you for posting it. Life hasn't been the same since we lost he and Aunt Annie. My twin sister and I used to spend practically every weekend with them and they were essentially our grandparents. What we cherish the most are the memories of gardening with Uncle Tony. I can't even begin to tell you how much the information on his parents and siblings means to us. We have many fond memories of playing Parchessi with Susie. Phil would always give us a bright shiny quarter, and had a joke to tell us. Thank-you again. Cordially, Amy Gorman Delaney
