A proud member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, United Daughter's of the Confederacy, Daughter's of 1812 and Daughter's of '98 (Spanish American War).|
Unfortunately there are individuals on this site who have made collecting memorials their sole purpose for being here. I do not collect dead people, and I don't care if you are a cousin, or aunt, uncle, friend, classmate, or 4th Great anything, so if there is a memorial I have and you are more closely related to that person than I am, I will gladly transfer them to you. This site is for honoring and remembering people and pets who have passed away, not for hoarding memorials.
The fact that some folks on here have thousands of memorials and refuse to give up even just one they are not related to is absolutely ridiculous.
Any submitted edits will be researched and not accepted without correct proof.
In some of my memorials, the cemetery is not listed as it is either unknown or I haven't had the time to research it. Either way, these individuals deserve to be recognized and I will not remove their memorials just because an individual doesn't like it. Any info you may have on the whereabouts of their remains is appreciated.
If you have requested information, and I haven't responded, please understand that I am either researching it, or have you on a list to research your question. I am presently working on quite a few family trees, and I am extremely busy.

|Jessie Sturdivant||Samuel Bridge|
Findagrave info submitted by Alabama Poes has Joshua Bridge and Barbara/Barberry Millet Bridge and son John. I wish to have someone verify that they also had a son, Samuel Bridge born 1797 who married Anna Stephens, who migrated from Allegany County, NY to Cass County, MI, where they are both buried in Bly Cemetery, Marcellus, Cass Co., MI. I am descended from Samuel's and Anna's daughter, Eunice Bridge, who married Thadeus Oaks/Oakes in NY who went to Cass County, MI and ultimately to Madison County, AL. I have copy of Samuel's Will that names the children - of which the first daughter was named Barbara/Barbaria [similar to Samuel's purported mother?] Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you in advance.

You are most welcome! Happy that I could help.
|Shannon ||Zacarias H Ruiz|
Just spoke with Sandra Shaw of the Sutherland Springs Historical Museum. There is in fact a headstone on Zacarias' grave. Where this one came from, and why it is on the roadside is unknown. Pending approval from Emilio Ruiz, brother of Zacarias, I will remove it so as not to continue to cause a stir. Should anyone want to retrieve it, they can contact me to do so. Makes me wonder if in making the headstone, there was damage and so a new one was made, or during the course of time...
Nevertheless, I believe this one needs to be removed from it's spot until further arrangements can be made.

|Monte Rogers||Thomas B. Holloman|
I have transferred Mr. Holloman's page to your management as you requested.
However, I do not hold the copywrite to the headstone photo; you will need to contact Elizabeth Good for that permission.
|Chuck Ryskamp||RE: Miles Baker Holloman|
Thanks Alabama, this information is very much appreciated. Miles B Holloman is also my GGG Grandfather (so I guess we are fourth cousins), and I appreciated the information you shared. Maybe you could answer another question I've been wondering about for years. Did Amanda (Headley) Holloman die from complications of childbirth? Since Harvey was born in Nov. 1840, and she die the same year, and she was quite young (even for 1800's standards), I have always thought it might have been from that. Any idea?
Thanks again for the info.
