My name is Carol and have lived in Georgia all my life. Residing in N.E. Atlanta for many years and grew up in Hapeville, Georgia.|
My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.
Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

Seeking to obtain the location of The Harris cemetery to visit.
Your Cemetery notes description states:
The Harris cemetery is located on the land once owned by the Harris family in Wilkes County, Georgia.
Specifically, I am seeking the burial site of

Thanks! I was wondering because I read what appears to be a transcribed copy of Rev. Robert Hunt's will and he only mentions having Thomas and Elizabeth. No mention of a son named William Hunt.
I am also descended from the Strother family. My line goes back to Susannah Dabney Strother who married Thomas Gaines. They moved to Stokes County, NC and that is where I live. I am also descended from the Taylor family that produced James Madison and Zachary Taylor.

Sorry. I was mixed up in two ways: I was reading Martha Hughes Winfrey's birh date, thinking I was looking at Frances A. Spencer's, and I misread 1806 as 1808.
Thanks for fixing the marriage order. By coincidence this morning I went through the exact same sequence of steps for a different relative.
Frances A. Spencer Allen #96352656
How can Frances Winfrey, born 1808 be their "first child?" Martha Hughes Winfrey was born 1806 and there is "no birth date" for their other daughter, Annie Lee Winfrey. Jesse Winfrey, RWS is now shown as Frances A. Spencer's "1st., husband as you requested.

In Find A Grave Memorial# 34448375 you have William Hunt linked to Rev. Robert Hunt of Jamestown as his father. Is there any proof of this?
I am descended from Valentine Allen whose mother was Mary Hunt Binge Allen Jefferson, Find A Grave Memorial# 51828343.

I never noticed the age spread you mentioned. I've checked my sources and I've not made a typo. I will check farther though.
What bothers me is they were married in 1791 and their first child, Frances, wasn't born until 1808. That just doesn't seem right!
By getting her marriages in order, I was hoping you'd make her first spouse link be to Winfrey, and her second one be to Allen. Now they appear thus:
John Tyler Allen (1770 - 1821) # 96352376
Jesse Winfrey (1745 - 1815)* # 96352936
You have to unlink the Jesse->Frances link,
then on Frances' page, move the Frances->Allen to second place and insert a Frances->Jesse link in first place. Then they'd be thus:
Jesse Winfrey (1745 - 1815) # 96352936
John Tyler Allen (1770 - 1821) # 96352376
Frances A. Spencer #96352656
Per your request have included her "birth year." Her marriages are in correct order, please refer to "bio." By the time their daughter, Martha Hughes Winfrey was born Capt. Jesse Winfrey was 61 yrs. of age and Frances A. (Spencer) Winfrey was 40 years of age. Are you sure her "birth year" is correct?

Thanks, Carol. I didn't see Elise Meyers listed anywhere on the memorial page. Do you mind pointing me to where you saw that so I don't make the same mistake again? I don't see her listed as managing John McElheney or the New Hope Cemetery. I'm new to Find A Grave and still learning how it all works.
