I am a Cleveland, OH native who has always loved old cemeteries.|
If I "have" a family member of yours, I'll be pleased to give you management. It's so exciting to find things you are looking for! :)
It irks me to no end when people here treat memorials like their personal property - like memorials are trading cards to collect and hoard. I am *always* happy to transfer, except when the person is my own relative (and no one is closer) or ones I have a special interest in. Even those I would fork over to a relative of any distance! LOL
I have even transfered to non-relatives with a special interest in the deceased.
PHOTO NOTE: I did not take the photos of Brooklyn Hts Cemetery in Cleveland. They were ALL originally transcribed and photographed by a very nice lady, Susanna Pretzer. She was completing a project to earn the Gold Award in Girl Scouts.
I checked with her, and have permission to post her photos and add the names. She said, "I definitely didn't know how physically and organizationally demanding it would be when I started, but that made it all the more satisfying...The idea was to get the information to the people who want it, so go for it. If it'll reach interested people who might not find it where it is currently online or in hard copy at the Western Reserve Historical Society, then it's good." --Thanks, Susanna!
Another note on PHOTOS: I give my permission to copy any photos I have taken for your own use or for another site. There are only a few -of thousands- that I have posted which I did not take personally. Just ask, please, so I make sure you are taking something I shot.

Hi friend: I just love your memorial decorations. I wish I knew how to do that!
|cindi brockman||Washington Memorial Cemetery|
Hello. I wanted to let you know, next Saturday or Sunday I am going to Washington Memorial and am going to get a groundsman to help me locate every single request here on Find A grave.
This cemetery is extremely frustrating. Markers by the roads are old and many unreadable and pretty much, nothing makes sense to me ever when I go and almost every time I either just get lucky or get someone to help when I find someone with a few minutes.
I am determined though.

I will have go back and find my notes about the dog/headstone. I don't think it was Scrawny as I remember Scrawny when I use to visit the fire station back in the early days of starting to work on Woodland Cemetery.
|Woodland Cemetery Foundation||RE: Evelyn Buell|
You are right, I do know the answer to this question. There is a headstone at the fire station however it is for a fire station dog who had passed away. The headstone was originally engraved but not used and therefore was donated as a used stone for the dog. There is no person buried at the fire station. The WCF at one point had inquired about possibly moving the remains of the fire dog and headstone to the fireman's lot at Woodland but it was not well received.

Many thanks for transferring to me! Gratefully, MK
Hello, my name is Sheryl (sezena) and I am fairly new to Find A Grave and I discovered the grave memorial you posted for LaVern (# 89566897) Rieth, she was one of two my great Uncle's children that died at a very young age. Would you consider transferring her memorial to me? My maiden name is REITH, and our family split with half spelling Reith and the other half Rieth...that happened when some of the original children went to live in a children's home and they became (Reith)...it has been so interesting tracking all of our genealogy. Thank you for your kind consideration!
