Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma. The branches of my family have been in this area since before statehood. I have been active in researching my family tree since around 1990. I would be glad to take short trips to the surrounding area to take requested photos.

Thank you for all the Madden's you have memorialized! I was so excited to find them. Now to find the father of Samuel Rork. My lineage goes through Sameuel then William Taylor and to my Grandfather Arthur Harlin Maddon 1889-1880, who is buried at Washington Cemetery, Washington, Okla. Thanks again.

Victor Green Lewis, Wetumka Cemetery
Victor Green Lewis' father was Thomas Newton Lewis, but he was born 28 Feb. 1812 in North Carolina, not England.

Victor Green Lewis was married twice.
1. Emma Swann
2. Mary Emma Cole

He was never married to Gladys Bement Schaber. His son Guy Victor Lewis was.

Thank you

Guy Victor Lewis
Two of my uncles, buried in the Wetumka cemetery need corrections to your entries.

The mother of Guy Victor Lewis was Mary Emma Cole Lewis (1876-1961) not Emma Swann Lewis.

Emma Swann Lewis was Victor Green Lewis' first wife and mother of Samuel Von Lewis and John Lewis.

Samuel Von Lewis is also buried in the Wetumka cemetery and does not have his mother's name shown.

Guy Victor Lewis was the first child born to Mary Emma Cole Lewis. She is also buried in the Wetumka cemetery.

Oklahoma and Sarah White
Danny, thank you so very much for the information on Oklahoma's death place and on her mother's birth place and death date. I appreciate the information so very much. My grandparents were Benton and Ada Berry Gentry, long-time residents of Holdenville. Mary Lovell Gentry, one of their children, was Preston White's wife. My grandparents were buried in Holdenville Cemetery as were my great-aunt and -uncle Myrtle Berry Loftis and her husband Harvey Loftis. Even my great-grandparents Jonathan and Alice Berry were buried there. I could go on . . . . It's great to know you are looking after everyone :)

Nora L. White daughter of Sarah and A. C. White
Did you know that there are 30 women buried in Holdenville Cemetery with the first name of "Nora"? I'd appreciate your adding the comment to the memorials for her parents in case one of Nora's descendants comes looking. I believe that in 1940 Nora White was teaching in Davis City, Decatur County, Iowa, where she was a lodger who lived in Seminole County, OK, in 1935. By the way, you did a magnificent write-up on Seldon T. White for the Holdenville memorial. Truly excellent work!
