I'm a lifelong resident of Broken Arrow, OK. I seem to be a genealogist for all branches of my families - both on my side AND on my husband's. Some surnames I am tracing are Lee, Davis, Tinney, McClure, Croco, Colyott, Yandell, Cotner, Humble, Dickerson, Wiggins, and Cloyd. |
I am glad to have a part in sharing information on this website. I believe we owe a debt to those who have lived before us, and part of that is repaid by not allowing them to fade from memory. I am happy to do corrections and updates, and if you find a relative among those memorials I maintain, I am more than happy to transfer them to you, unless I am more closely related! For any updates or transfer requests, PLEASE use the link provided on the memorial to contact me.
Visiting so many cemeteries I am always saddened at the graves that are unadorned and seemingly forgotten. Those feelings inspired me to write the following. . .
I Will Remember
I know not how you came here –
only whether early in life or late.
Was your passing something expected,
or was the shock of it quite great?
Is there anyone left standing
who was witness to that day?
Or have they – along with the memories
they held of you - now all slipped away?
Although it's true that I never knew you,
And it's true that you never knew me -
I'll just stand here a quiet moment
hoping that somehow you will see.
Maybe I'm not a dear loved one
And it isn't quite the same - -
But I will pause to leave a small token
And I will remember your name.
-Janet Lee Davis
NOTE**** May 2012 - - I am part of a team receiving management of Charlie Crocker's memorials in PARK GROVE CEMETERY in Broken Arrow.
Let me know if you have additional information on any of the memorials I hold there. I will try to get to the corrections as soon as possible, but there are a LOT of memorials!

Thank you so much for adding the photos for Barbara Adams, William and Geraldine Hinkle. I like it when they all come together!
Hope to see you soon! Can't access FB anymore, it freezes up my computer, so if there is anything going on with school stuff please send me an e-mail :)

Thanks to you creating this memorial or at least while you managed it, I found out he was buried in Broken Arrow instead of Okmulgee and that he lacks a headstone. I didn't know before. His wife is buried in Okmulgee. Some of my cousins in Okemah are named after Marion.

Oh My Goodness!!! Did you really!!
Thank you so much for not forgetting about them..
Most of their family, aside from children, live in back east so it is not easy to visit them..

Dang girl! That was fast! I actually went to the paper to look up another one from 1973, but when I got there the 1964 book was laying on the table and the rest is history! ;)
