Bio Photo My main purpose on find a grave was to make a lasting memorial of my loved ones for future generations to have and treasure. So many times important dates and information about life events and achievements get lost. We think after someone is gone...I wish I asked mom about her family. We all want to know where we came from and knowing our ancestry helps me feel complete.

I have now challenged myself to get as much of St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria,IL photographed. In doing so I'll need all the help I can get to make sure I'm getting it right. So if you notice any errors please let me know. I will be glad to make any change. I will transfer any memorial I have created of your family. I've just learned that any pictures a person takes and post, they have automatic copyright to them. I give permission to anyone that wants to use any of my headstone photos.
When I'm walking about the cemetery please know I do it with the most respectful intentions. I hope my efforts connect so many families to loved ones, be it near or far. If anyone wants to join me in getting photographs, contact me so we are not taking the same pictures.
It's nice to know what we do on find a grave will endure long after we are long gone.

St. Mary's that is finished being photographed:

Death, why do you come to my thoughts
after so many a year? I never had time
for you or even gave you a care.

Now with trembling limbs I nudge close to
those slumber doors. Can I take a peek, NO!
Is that death making its self-known?

All my life I have not known you.
Now I can feel you lurking aboutÖwhatís
this ache? Whatís this new pain?

I take a walk through fallen leaves and I
look about the sky and delight in the day.
Are there many more for me?

Why do I feel this way? Oh, I see
itís the quiet one drawing me in.
Do I make friends with you? Will you be
kind in the end?

Do you have some hideous disease for me,
Or will you let me slip into slumber with
such ease? Oh, Iíve seen the pain others have had. Please tell me, what death will be mine?

Over time you have become a constant and
familiar companion. I donít fear you as much
and know when you are near. When the end
is upon me and I know it will come, I
will welcome your presence like a long
awaited friend.

Guide me to my loved ones that are waiting for me. I have my place at the wedding supper you see. So when you come, come quickly for me, my dear friend.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to try to obtain a stone photo for Mary (Tracy) Brodbeck. I have forwarded your message on to the memorial creator and asked that a note be placed on the memorial showing that it is an unmarked grave. You and your efforts are appreciated!! Thanks again.

RE: Memorial Charles Poor
Easy fix for that! I have deleated mine. I am so pleased when family members find each other, especially at Leeds where so many seem to be without families.

RE: Nancy W Lee Bradshaw
Hello: I am not aware of such a previous marriage of Nancy Brown. If you find evidence send it to me and I will try to fit the pieces together. Bradshaw sounds familiar as a family name in the county of Greene, in southern Illinois in the post civil war decades, however.
