|Kenneth Sturdivant||highliting inscriptions|
This method was shown me by a distant relative, Susan lee Fullbright,who also lives in Sallisaw. Susan was a school teacher at Sallasaw. (likely now retired) Her husband was a fireman; he lost his life fighting a vehicle fire in 1994.

I usually look at all four sids of the slender, obelisk type headstones, as sometimes they may mark multiple graves. However, I must have overlooked the inscription on the back of J. P. Rana's stone. I will take a look the next time I am in the area. The method I use for highlighting the inscriptions on older stones is: Shaving foam, applied with a putty knife. (the kind used in sheetrocking) Some people do not approve of this method but if you cary a small garden sprayer with water and an old towell with you, the foam can be removed quite easily. I have found that the shaving foam does not harm the stone in any way, even if not removed. But, some people do object to it's use.

Thanks a bunch for the additional photo.
It would appear that it is there all by itself.
