I have been a member for about 1 year and 1 month, I find this very fasinating. I have done genealogy on the Melkus family, between Margaret Melkus Long and myself we have gone back 11 generations, I have been to Otterberg, Germany and seen the house that my Great Grandfather lived in and the Catholic Church he attened before he came to America at the age of 25 or 26. That is an experience that I will always cherish. Now this site intrigues me it, it gives one a way to work on genealogy as you post these memorials. I find it fun and very rewarding.. I am retired from the grocery business after 45 years. This website is very interesting. | |

 | Susanna Fritzer HI,
In your pictures of Susanna, her brother and his wife. Could that be Peter Fritzer. If so that is my 2nd gr grandfather. If so, may I copy your picture?

 | RE: Donald Melkus Hello Sorry for the delay in response. I have not been on this site in over a year and changed my email address. I don't recall there being a wife next to him. I believe he is buried in the veterans part of the cemetary. I will try to get back down there and see what I can find for you, MichelleAdded by Michelle on Apr 23, 2012 8:56 PM | | | Leon Barton

 | RE: Melkus Family I have worked some on all the cemeteries in Woods County. All the information that was in our Rural Woods County Cemeteries should be on their individual site. There are 21 in Woods County. I can email you a list tomorrow, too long for this site. The Alva Cemetery is listed on Alva's website under departments. Listed alphabetically with name and date of death. I have put a lot of them on findagrave and am walking the cemetery to get dates of birth if families don't give me the information first.
Been by the cemetery at home lately? You won't recognize it. Have a good weekend. | | | Karen K
 | RE: Melkus and Bowen transfers. Have transferred your cousins memorials to you this morning. If you find other family that I've entered, let me know. I'll be happy to transfer - no matter how distantly related.Added by Karen K on Mar 19, 2012 5:47 AM | | | Thelma Crouch
