~~~Precious Gems~~~
If your heart feels heavy,
It may be weighted down,
With the many precious gems
You fail to pass around.
Diamonds are the loving words
You always leave unsaid.
Rubies are the seeds of joy
That you refuse to spread.
Emerald are the helping hands
Only offered grudgingly.
Sapphires are alms not given
To ease a fellowman's need.
Changing won't be easy
And it may even smart.
When you begin to mine those gems
Embedded in your heart.
It will take a lot of practice
Each and every day,
Learning that neglected art
Of giving yourself away.
First there'll be a secret fear
You may be refused,
Or sometimes deep resentments
That you are being used.
But as you sow your precious gems
Along life's many miles,
You'll notice how they sparkle
In people's happy smiles.
And your heart that was so heavy
Will grow to twice its size,
But be as light as a bird in flight
As it soars up to the skies.
"Transfers: I am not one of
those people who refuse to
transfer in or out of guidelines.
State up front how and why you
feel you should be the manager
of the memorial. I will use
my discretion, but as a general
Ask and ye shall receive, unless
you're 1 of those people who don't
transfer out of guidelines".
(I borrowed this from T.V.F.T.H)
If you are one of those people
the above poem is for you,
please read it and take it to
heart. I also don't like
veiled threats. So please don't
do that. It is so ugly.
For transfer request, please go
to edit. It will make it
easier for both of us.
If you have sent a correction
addition etc. please be patient,
and give me thirty days, to take
care of your request.
I am going to remove my e-mail
address, as I continue to receive
Transfers,corrections, additions
thru there, rather than thru edit
as I have requested above. Please
be sure to include the memorial
number as it is time consuming to
for members to have to look it up,
when you could just as easily send it.
Please do not post a death certificate
or an obituary in the photo section
on any of the memorials I manage.
The obituary should be typed and
submitted to be entered in the bio.
We want the memorials of those we
loved to be as nice as possible.
Catherine J Buford
Please disregard my previous message. The last name of this family is Erfurth. Catherine was the child of Robert and Mary Erfurth who immigrated from Germany. I am going to Oak Cemetery this week to try and find them.
Catherine J.Buford or Brfurth
I happened upon this Find a Grave page #89176452. I decided to look into this further. On the Oak Cemetery list, she is listed as C. J. Efurth. This is a misspelling of the name on the cemetery records because in looking some more, I think Catherine's parents are Cornelius Efurd and Amanda Efurd who are buried in James Fork Cemetery in Hartford, Sebastian Co., Ark. Next time I go to Oak Cemetery I will look for her stone but am afraid it is not there because it is so old. Many of the old stones around this time period are missing. I'll let you know if I find a marker. Hope this helped.
Olive Lucretia Foat's maiden name was Elmendorf . Her sister Dorothy Elmendorf was the Chapman. When you get time, thank you for correcting this. I am descended from their sister Margaret Elmendorf Rogers who is buried in Jefferson Co. WI place unknown. Their father was John F. Elmendorf who is buried at Manning, Vernon Co. WI. The mother was Elizabeth Youmans who died in Erie Co. NY. burial place unknown.
David Unruh Colby Kansas
I am interested in tracking relatives of my friend David Unruh who may still be living in Colby, Kansas. David was born in Colby in 1941 and went to school there, attended the University of Kansas 1959-1963, then moved out of state. He has been living (by himself) in Boston for the past 20-30 years, working for Harvard University, but retired this past January. I was his friend from 1959 onward at college and roomed with him for awhile in grad school. We have been staying in touch by phone for years, but recently he stopped answering and now his phone is disconnected. I am afraid he may have died, but don't know who to contact for confirmation (or denial). There are so many Unruhs in Kansas, the family is hard to track. (I'm from Wichita myself.) Can you help? I see you are an Unruh descendant yourself, with at least some interest in an Unruh burial at Colby.
Janet, Can you tell me exactly where this cemetery (Baptist Cemetery, Kingston, TN) is located. I have tried searching for it with no luck. I want to get some gravestone pictures and look for others possibly buried there. Thanks.
Mt Calvary Cambridge
Hello Janet,
I started a photo transcription of Mt Calvary back in 2006. I live in California, though my family plot is at Mt Calvary. I will look through your many records and see if I can add photos to them.
Thanks for the time and effort to input these memorials. My goal has been to get back to Cambridge and finish photographing and updating my GenWeb inputs, but it just hasn't been possible.
My best to you.
Waoleigh Memorials
Memorial 78637672 for Frances E. Waoleigh and
memorial 78637655 for Joseph D. Waoleigh:
The correct spelling for the last name is WADLEIGH.
Both already have memorials Frances E. Wadleigh, 97627394, created by KsCityKim on 9/23/2012, and maintained by me, MarjorieEtchellMcCampbell, 46997180; Joseph Dearborn Wadleigh, 53728645, created by me on 6/15/2010.
Would you like to cancel yours?
