Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been able to visit my ancestor's grave that someone had posted. I probably will never get to visit in person, so I appreciate that "proxy" visit you provided.

On my memorials, I include the parents' names and place of birth if I can find them, as it certainly can help knowing which "John/Jane Doe" it is. I also like to add a title such as "Rev." or "Dr." to a memorial if appropriate, as it can save time in doing a search with 45 names all the same, in same state. I see some with titles on the tombstone, yet it is not entered with the name (perhaps the photo was added later...is a guess.)

I honor veterans (all wars) with a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one.

I welcome information or a correction to a memorial. I usually don't edit or check to be sure it is accurate, nor do I act as judge and jury over whether to add it. Check it if you doubt it. On memorials I contribute, I try to check the state and other records to assure it is accurate, but still I make mistakes. Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial. I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer kin.

My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver.

THANKS:
With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfill for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

Southwick
Thanks for the info on children of Barnet and Clara (Chapman) Southwick. However, they did not have a daughter named Hannah. Hannah (Southwick) Peppler of New Jersey is no relation to Barnet Southwick.

Winnie, Well I'm related indirectly. My great great grandmother Sophronia Annie Walker parents were Ezekiel William Walker and Sarah Ann Bryant. Sarah Ann Bryant mother was Clarissa Ann Carwile and William L. Bryant. After William Bryan died Clarrisa married the Posey family. After the died she married Ezekiel William Walker father William Alexander Walker. Clarissa is buried in Bellevue, Clay Texas ...it's really confusing. William Alexander Walker is the great grandfather of Clyde Barrow from "Bonnie and Clyde"

RE: Orrin Patch, info
I am definitely a Copp. John Scott Copp was the son of John B Copp and I have a John BROWN Copp in my family tree. I'll have to check on him. I come from the family of Moses Copp (1706), his son Joshua Copp (1741), and then Moses Copp (1763) and Anna Mills (1761 - 1845) - the names sound familiar, don't they? They are buried at Bullock Cemetery in Georgeville, Quebec. The names Hubert and Ernest are very common in our family - there are plenty of Hubert Copp's and Ernest Copp's.

I was lucky enough to visit Georgeville during its 200th anniversary and have the book published for the anniversary. I found out so much about the Copps, Browns, and Mills during that visit. Thank you again for your help - I certainly appreciate it. Ruth

RE: Rev. Orrin Patch - add'l info
You're very welcome. I found his birthdate on ancestry - I think I had the date he became a minister (1861) in there as his birthdate. Thank you so much for the biography. Ruth

Seelye/Seeley/Seely
Hi wvy,

You requested a change of spelling of the surname on my Find A Grave Memorial# 81469572 for Ebenezer Seelye to Seeley the more common spelling of today. I keep the old spelling but am not sure when it changed. I looked at Joyce Tice Cemetery records to see how that transcript was spelled and found it to be Seely.

http://www.joycetice.com/cemt/carpent1.htm

I will request a headstone picture. I like to have the name the same as the headstone or the Sexton's records when possible.

Let me know what you think.

Mary Briggs
