Bio Photo Born and raised in Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma. The branches of my family have been in this area since before statehood. I have been active in researching my family tree since around 1990. I would be glad to take short trips to the surrounding area to take requested photos.

I see you created the memorial pgs for Mr & Mrs Collins. Are they related to you? If not, do you know anyone who is? There are some burial plots in Washita Co, Okla, that belongs to them.

William R. Mastin
Hi Danny,

I'm researching my wife's genealogy. She's a part of the Mastin family from around your area. I'm looking at the page you posted on William R. Mastin and I was wondering if you could tell me what your source was for the Bolivar, TN birthplace. It seems likely, but I just went through the process of having to correct the accepted wisdom about my family tree when someone followed the wrong John Baughman in Illinois. If there is proof that William R was born in Bolivar then I think that Sarah J. Mastin was the daughter of John E Mastin in Bolivar, TN. It would seem that William was born out of wedlock and Sarah never married (though she got a marriage license in Bolivar three years before William was born).

Danny
Thank you for the obit for Octa Furgerson. I think I have some words wrong on her obit. When you get a chance would you place a hard copy on her memorial 29237388 as you have done with other memorials.

Thanks again.

Summers/Rowe/Summy family in Oklahoma
Thank you for updating and linking this family. They are not my kin - just distant in-laws of my husband's Lyle family. But I fell in love with these strong pioneers. I hope to link Dollie Rowe to her family - I do believe her father is the Samuel Franklin Rowe born 1834, died 1892 in Oklahoma but can't find her mother. She was Catherine Fowler born 1837 Tennessee who married first in Hopkins County, Texas the widowed Henry Friddle who had a little son James Alfred Friddle. She then married widowed Samuel Franklin Rowe (horrid to search as they spelled it Roe, Row, Rose etc.) and was stepmother to James Friddle and two of S.F. Rowe's: Eliza Rowe and George Rowe. They were all over Texas and Oklahoma. You posting memorials has been a large part of the solution to finding them. Thanks for your service. Barbara Tynes Claiborne

Obituaries
Thanks for the recent ones. They really help! I'm still in hopes you locate the Ritter ones and in the Calvin Cemetery the Furgerson could be under the spelling of Ferguson or Fergerson. Keep an eye out for Lancaster in Atwood Cemetery and Anderson there also as well as the Stallings.

Thanks!!!
