Samuel/Harriet Crouch

Samuel Crouch is my 3rd great grandfather as well through the Cobb/Crouch in Taney County as well as Addie Crouch Warner married to Edwin Warner in Fayette County Illinois in 1876. Do you know any of the history of Samuel and Harriet from their marriage until they got to Taney County? Do you know how Addie met Edwin Warner? I know he was married before in 1870 in Cumberland County. Just trying to fill in some gaps. Thanks for all this hard work. We have done a lot on the Cobb,Crouch,Warner families on this end. My e-mail is I live in Columbia Missouri and travel to Taney County various times during the year to visit family and do family history research. Thanks again. Russ Cobb

Good afternoon. I wanted to let you know that I went out to get a photo of this stone for you. Unfortunately the stone is sinking and was covered in mud. I went to the cemetery two different times and cleaned it. I used a brush and water but it was still so muddy I couldn't get it. The massive amounts of rain didn't help. I actually live In Atlanta but I am from Oklahoma, I was home visiting and am familiar with the cemetery. I will be back there for Thanksgiving and can try to photograph it or I can "unclaim" the photo request. Just let me know what you would like for me to do. Sorry I couldn't get the photo.

Your Photo Request
I am a new volunteer with Find A Grave and would be happy to fulfill your request to photograph a tombstone in the Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona, California but need the exact location of the tombstone so I can find it.

FYI, I called the cemetery to find the location but they would not give it to me as I am not next of kin. If you don't know the location, please contact them at 951-736-0460. The gentleman I spoke with indicated there is an easy form you can complete to find the exact location. Once you receive this information back, you could then send the exact location to me and I will take the picture.

Please email me back at with the location and I would be glad to take the picture you are requesting.

RE: Memorial# 16918855
No problems using the photo but just credit the White River Valley Historical Society. I've got a little cleaner copy of the original if you want to send me your private e-mail address so I can send it to you. I believe you're wanting to post it to Van Moore's Memorial but I couldn't locate the other one, Memorial #16918349 in the Find a Grave data base. I remember Van Moore well. He loaned my father $500 in the late 1950's to purchase a truck. Dad and Mom dutifully paid $15 on the debt every month until they had it paid off. On the day of the last payment, he told my parents that he'd loaned a lot of money to people in Taney County and they were among the few who had paid him back. He worked at the post office in Forsyth for many years. After he died, his wife, Faye, continued to live at the old home place over on Highway 76 East. It's about fallen in now. -Brad Melton

McElheran Family

I'm finding some inconsistencies in dates for the McElheran family.
I see that it not one of your virtual sites. I'm wondering if you know of any one I can verify my notes with.

I went to this cemetery to fulfill some photo requests and also took several other photos. I noticed that you had created the memorial pages for John Sadd d 1790 and Roswell Sadd d 1817 (not sure what the previous gravestone photo is for him...there is no obelisk for him nearby) and wanted you to know there are new gravestone photos for them.
Good luck with your genealogy,

Mary Darden
Could this possibly be Mae Darden. Mae was married to Earl and had the same birth & death years? If so picture is in as Mae.
