Bio and Links
Bio Photo My family is primarily from Tennessee.

Father's side:
(Farmer,Gibson,Ingram,Davis,Dobbs,
Hindman, Moore) Bradley and Meigs Counties in TN as well as Murphy NC and surrounding area.

Mother's side:
(Chaney/Culvahouse/Parker/Wyrick/Johnson): Loudon and Union Co.s

Raised in East TN, I am retired and living in Florida now.

I am always happy to meet new relatives no matter how distant.

I encourage everyone to use the photos for whatever reason best suits their purpose. In my opinion, family photos, including these headstone photos need to be distributed between family members. The more people that have copies of them, the more likely they are to survive to future generations.

Thanks for your comments, Ed. I will go back and take a look at the records you have referenced and get back to you. Are you a Galyon descendant? Blessings, Steve

Eliza Baldwin and John Hall
Thank you for the invitation to view your tree on Ancestry.com. I have now added Eliza to my tree as John Lyon Hall's 3rd wife. I have also added a comment recounting a family story about John sending her home in a farm wagon driven by my grandfather Samuel Wilson Hall. As to a Galyon link I will have to work on that and get back to you. Blessings, Steve

I am not sure how she got connected as a spouse of my great grandfather and since you did not create her memorial it is possible that you don't know either, but I would definitely like to have any documentation you might have as to their marriage. I know that John Lyon Hall (102739616) married a third time before 1920 but I have no information about her. Thank you!

Biffle/Barbee/Bayliss
Good morning, Edward.

Sarah A. (Barbee) Bayliss Biffle, mother of Alta N., was my gr gr g-mother. She had another daughter with John A. Biffle, Willie (Biffle) Harmon (1884-1972), my gr g-mother's half sister.

Until this morning I had no Biffle information. Anything you might share would be appreciated and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Best, Diane Adams

So sorry I did not get a close up of the wife. She did not have a death date so was thinking I did not need it. I know better. Hope that helps. V/r Joe Maryville, TN

RE: John Galyon
Your comments are right on the mark, especially with the Galyons. It seems every family in every generation decided to use the same names.
