|Born and raised in Davenport, (Scott County)Iowa, but my McCoy roots come from Centerville, (Appanoose County)Iowa where my Dad was born as well as the previous three generations of my family. Today I live in Olathe (Johnson County) Kansas.|
I got into genealogy specifically to find information about my grandfather, who died before I was born. But it took off from there, and I ended up finding information going all the way back to Ireland in the 1600's. Now, I work to keep the memories of my family alive, and to help others with their research as much as I can.

Would you tell me the source you have for Thomas McCoy's service in the Rev. War? No one has joined Daughters of the American Revolution using this Thomas McCoy. I would love to be able to prove his Rev. War service. Thank you.

|Robert and Mary Ankenbauer||Elnora Tyler Phelps|
Elnora's mother was Lydia Burger. She first married Chauncey Tyler and second to Samuel M. Terry.
My great-grandfather was Charles M. Terry, who was half-brother to Elnora.
It would be great to hear from you.

Could you relation possbily be Mary Estella Barrett, daughter of Alexander Cross Barrett abd Sophia Shelton Barrett? I also have roots in both Moravia & Kellerton, IA. Kellerton is where my grandparents met and married. But I am having trouble finding Mary Estella Barrett. My grandmother's sister. A C & Sophia bore 10 children, 5 who lived to adulthood. They lived in several counties during their lives: Des Moines, Polk county and Kellerton, Ringold County, and Moravia, Appanoose County? If so contact me.......or if you'd rather not but still are curious, check out my Coffin/Barrett Cemetery. I have some more names for you to add to your family history, if you don't already have them. There may be some in there that may not belong, I haven't finished sorting all of them out yet I put a bunch in there that someone gave me who are not directs, but probably cousins of direct relations. Cyndi
