|I live in Katy TX and research mainly for my family. The names I research Darby, Hudson, Knox, Trammell, Smith, Owen/Owens, Green, Hartsfield, Hollan/Holland, Jordan/Jordon/Jourdan/Jorden, Warren, Wingfield in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana as well as those that are tied in with them, Van Slyke and Price in Texas, Blakney/Blakeney/Cunningham in Texas and Illinois, Wilson and Tarpley in Illinois, Banks in Georgia, Alabama and beyond.|
I was raised by my Grandmother and Great Grandmother and listened to many stories of her home in Magnolia Arkansas and the large family there. She worked with our cousin Ben Warren for many years on genealogy in regards to Hudson and Warren.
I welcome any corrections and additional information.
At times I will add people to the site that I stumble across just so I can help someone else along the way.
Not all my listings are family so ask to see if a transfer is possible.

|Lloyd Brannon||Easter Thank You 04 03 2015|
In the event that I have not thanked you, personally, for the transfers that you have provided me with, I wish to do so at this time.
My retirement from all my social and family duties have dwindled down since my health has had the opportunity to allow me to beat my God given expiration date, with the help of family, fantastic physicians and hospital, and the implantation of a pacemaker. Rest is my priority when not doing some physical duties, yet Find A Grave and family ancestry tracing is still fun.
To all my Find a Grave friends, you have all been a tremendous help with your contributions to me and especially to this site.
Happy Easter, be safe, have fun and Thank You.

|junkbuyercbd||Newton Banks (edit)|
I just completed your edit for Newton Banks. I noticed you research the Trammell and Jordan names. You may want to check my memorials under those names. I have several. Thanks for your contributions and dedication to "Find a Grave".
Do you know where her husband is buried?

I am going through your work at the Emerson Cemetery. Birdie walked me the cemetery pointing out family graves.
Ivy was a J D McMahen daughter. She died of bone cancer. She had one daughter Don Paula. We have photos of Don Paula.
I'll look for more.

|Jeff||RE: Jeff D & Sara McMahen|
In the next few days, I will sit with my dad it get the details on his McMahen aunts and uncle.
I wonder if you knew that Jeff D's full name was Jefferson Davis. Dad has said some called him, Mac. He was a shoemaker, hotel owner with Sarah and sharecropper.
Sarah was half-Cherokee and my Grandma Birdie says she was the prettiest woman. She would sneak in and just stare at her while she napped, because she was so beautiful. Grandma told me Sarah was from Temple, TX. As yet I cannot confirm that. She died in the Flu epidemic of 1919. She nursed one of her daughters (I'll find out which one)until she passed. She then took to her bed and died soon after.
I neglected last night to mention Aunt Jeffie. She was the next to youngest, Birdie was the youngest. They remained very close all their lives and are buried together with some of Jeffie's family, I think near Minden (I'll confirm).
We have some photos of Jefferson Davis, some of the children, and some of the grandchildren.
