I started the genealogy trail back in 1967 but got sidetracted by work etc. Only with my retirement,(2008), did I restart this passion. I trace my family, paint, write. In 2011, I traveled from state to state visiting the family graves. In spring of 2012, I finally made it to Ireland. |
I am particularly focused on doing findagrave biographies with photos of relations and getting them all linked.
My surnames are;, McPHILLIPS,LYNCH, SULLIVAN, McCABE, BOLSINGER/BALSINGER, ARMSTRONG, KERNAHAN, FISHER, CRAFT, HIGGINBOTHAM, KEENER, CANTRELL, CHASTAIN, HAYES/HAYS, and WHITEHEAD. I've been helped by so many seasoned genealogy hunters across the states. What a great bunch of people do this!!!
If someone wants to copy my pictures I would like credit as being the source for them and it would be nice to have a heads up so I can check the facts that are presented about them. These people are my family so I appreciate this coordination and teamwork. Thank you.
IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE MY FAMILY TREE ON ANCESTRY TO SEE HOW WE ARE RELATED JUST GIVE ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND YOU WILL GET TO SEE THE TREE FOR FREE. THIS WORKS WELL FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT ON ANCESTRY AND DON'T WANT TO JOIN. mY TREE IS QUITE EXTENSIVE.
MY EMAIL ADDRESS AS GENTRACKER WAS HACKED! IF YOU HAVE THAT ADDR. FOR ME DISCARD IT!

|Lucy in the Sky||RE: William W. Reynolds Sr. gravestone|
Hi Dona- Your correct I did not put a notation on William's grave. He is a family member and if I am not working from the graveyard listing I neglect to do so. William is my great Aunt Louise's (Ristau) husband. I think only half the family have stones. The others I do take the location where they are buried so you do have a idea. (I forgot Wm.) Hope your finding everything ok. this is a very Large and interesting family. His brother Homer does have a stone- same cemetery. their parents are buried in Ottawa.
|Lawrence Beufve||Jacob Fisher|
Hi Dona, Do you have any info on Jacob Fisher, third child born to David C Fisher and Martha Lanning Fisher. I see him on the 1850 Census at age 6 (born 1844) And 1860 Census (age 15). The 1870 and 1880 Census lists one Jacob Fisher married to Cynthia. I don't know if this is my Jacob Fisher and cannot find any other information beyond this point.
Thanks Larry Beufve
|Janice Lapp||RE: Annie Fisher and her family|
You're Welcome....I like to take all the stones around the one I'm getting for a request when they all have the same name. Then, I can check, when I get home, to see if the photos need to be posted. Just happened I was going to that cem. & I got to take yours, too.....
|Lawrence Beufve||RE: Amelia Fisher|
Dona, after examining the 1850, 1860, 1870 & 1880 Census, I have concluded that Amelia Fisher was not a child of David C Fisher and Martha Lanning. David and Martha had four children:
John born 1839
Isaac born 1843
Jacob born 1844
Perry born 1849
Here is my email address: email@example.com
Please contact me. I have some interesting info to share with you concerning David C Fisher.
|Lawrence Beufve||Amelia Fisher|
Hi Dona, I am a distant cousin of Amelia Fisher, daughter of David C Fisher and Martha Lanning.
Information I have gleaned from others lead me to believe that Amelia married Joseph Wechter and together they had 12 children. My concern lies with the fact that Census records (specifically 1880, 1900 and 1910) show that Amelia's parents were born in Germany when they were actually born in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Joseph's parents were born in Germany. Do you think the census taker just copied ditto marks for Amelia by mistake? I just want to be sure I have the Correct Amelia Fisher.

Hi, Dona! I just happened to notice your note on the memorial of this gentleman.
If you look closer on the biographical note you will see the information about his birth in Georgia is from me; he is our relative through the Ferguson line. Linda was kind enough to add that, but it is my opinion. I'm glad you agree, though!
All the best,

I took the information from an early inscription of the Duck River Cemetery. This is not my family. If you would like the memorial transferred to you, let me know.
|Teresa Truan Smith||RE: James McPhillips 90826944|
How wonderful! James was my husband's gr-grandfather. Please email me direct so we can exchange information.
We know that James and Bernard were born in Monaghan county, Ireland and arrived in America before 1850. We have lots of photos and information on them after they arrived in Oregon.
I look forward to corresponding with you.
Best Regards, Teresa Truan-Smith

Would you please send me your new email address. I would like to revisit our possible LYNCH relationship. Apparently, a DNA match discovered by Marilyn Veik has shown that our LYNCH bunch are related. Marilyn found that she and I are 4th cousins, meaning that we share ggg gf LYNCH from County Monaghan.
