I was born in CA.and moved to IA.in 1971 when my Dad retired from the U.S.Navy.He was born in Blanchard,IA.I served as an Infantry Scout in the Army National Guard.|
I DO NOT deal with the Atlantic Cemetery Sexton.The CCGS Cemetery books were done in 1986 so later burials are by chance or contacting the cemetery for a location.Their phone #712-243-1254.I will make every attempt to locate a stone on my own but the cemetery is quite large.
I personally find it disturbing that someone would rather hold on to a memorial that they are not related to because of the findagrave 4 generation "guidelines".It is a guideline people not a rule.Geez!
I would prefer my created memorials were with family no matter how far down the line or even a friend.At least they are FAMILY or a FRIEND!Isn't that why we do this?
DUPLICATES-I will gladly remove any duplicate memorial whether mine was made first or not as long as it isnt family.
Any questions,additions,corrections,or transfers don't be afraid to ask.Findagrave is not about "numbers" to me.Making sure people are remembered and not forgotten is.
If I use your gravestone photo on my family tree I give you credit with a simple "Photo courtesy of (your member name) findagrave".Because I so appreciate the kindness and hard work you do to get me a picture of my ancestors.
Any and all pictures I take are for you,so they are yours to use as you feel.The only exception being those marked "Courtesy of" which means I got those from someone else and was used with their permission.
If I have added a family member or your memorial and you have not passed yet and it upsets you PLEASE let me know and I will remove it immediately.It is not my intention to upset anyone.
I AM NOT,NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE PERFECT!

|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||And I am tired and forgot!!!|
Hi, Glenn -
I completely spaced out asking whether you would mind my visiting your father, if he has a page on here? Long, long year, my apologies for my flakiness! -RCP and GB
|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||RE: J H Houston|
You're very welcome - actually, I must give credit where it is due, and site friends The Houstons found J.H. while researching their own family connections...knowing how I feel about our military men and women, they let me know...and hopefully the word will get out from here on. =) I am not online much due to medical and other issues, but I always check my messages and will always get back to you asap, and so feel free to stay in touch or send along pages that need visiting. Have a good week - Best, RCP and Gannon Blue

Thank you for your note.
I have removed the photo request. I placed your message on the memorial page. I will keep the page for George, with the links, etc. If it should surface that he is buried elsewhere, as that sometimes happens, I can transfer the burial to the new location. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the very nice note. I'm glad to have found the headstone for you.
I looked for Mr. Sheldon, having read the info note you left, but I didn't see a headstone for him. I believe his memorial says he was cremated with the remains given to a family member, but still, I looked thinking he might have been interred when she was. I didn't see a cenotaph or memorial stone.

You don't claim to be perfect but perfection is in the eye of the beholder!
