Virgil Beyer Flag Memorial

I really appreciate you starting up the memorial for my grandfather, Virgil Beyer (Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein). We can't seem to remember where his flag-holder memorial is in the cemetery, though (it isn't by the Beyer family plots). Do you per chance remember where you saw that particular flag holder?

Again, thank you so much for preserving his memory in internet form!

Thanks Tammy. No rush. I hope to be digging up bones for a long time!

Rev Stephen Decatur Helms
I really appreciate that you have my 3rd great Uncle's information and grave stone. I see that many of the family members are listed on the stone, but I can't make out what is written on the white stone. Would you be able to provide me with a transcription? I know his first wife died in childbirth and they lost two other babies whom I do not have the names of. They would have been to his first wife Abigail Little Helms. His second wife was Mary Kesiah Cotton Helms and then he may have had a third wife by the name of Ruth?? She was either divorced or died before him and none of the wives are mentioned in his will, only his three living sons, George Little Helms, Samuel Cotton Helms and Frank Willis Helms.

Thank you,
Sally Tait Quinn

Tammy, thanks a million for the photo of the gravestone for Herbert and Gladys Millard in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. It's a good picture, and I appreciate your posting it for me.
