Bio and Links
I'm 51 years old. My mother Betty Shirley was a genealogist for 35 years for the Shirley Family. She wrote a book on Silas Shirley of Paris Arkansas in 1977 for my Dad's Family and a book on the Bartholomews in 1978 for her side of the family. She passed away in July 2009 and now I have all her family research. I am trying to get the information out there via the internet to solve some of the family mysteries that before computers seemed impossible to resolve. The family surnames I am interested in are:

Paternal:
Shirley, Haley, Harville / Harvel/ Harvill, Bynum,
Aydelott / Adelot, Barnard, Lee, Pettigrew all of Logan County, Paris, Arkansas. Norris & Shirleys from Athens, Ohio and Bedford, Pennsylvania

Maternal:
Bartholomew, Moore, Scott, Pennell, & Walker, Hayden most from McDonough Co., Illinois & Kansas with a few from Missouri.

William H Brewer middle name
I see your edit request (two of them, actually, one a duplicate of the other) to enter "Hamford" for the middle name for William H. Brewer. As I noted on his memorial, there are two variations that I'm aware of, "Hamford" and also "Hanford". What is your source for "Hamford"? I don't have access to his death record and am hesitant at putting in one name or the other without clarification or documentation, which is why I chose to use just the middle initial "H" as used on the inscription.

I'm always open to edit changes, but when I find variations in sources I don't really know how to judge which version is correct, so that is why I note variations in the bio.

Wm Walker Patterson
Hi, I connected his parents per your request. I also received your note about his parents 1881 marriage (I believe) and sibling but believe it needs to be added to his parent's, not to the infant William's site, where it may not be observed. I understand that Diane Parker's kin are managing her site for them, and should be able to help you. Appreciate the connection,

RE: Vera Wilson
Your welcome. I finally found her and since the crew at the cemetery had just finished the weed whacker around the markers, it had made the job a bit easier and the weather finally let up on the rain. So it was an all win situation. Gloria

Delaine,

You are very welcome. Those huge stained glass pieces in that tiny church are breath taking. BTW I am working with the SCV Pvt. Wallace Bowling Camp #1400 to add the cemetery where he is buried as one of our annual clean up sites. My husband and I did a little work there last year but need a few more hands.

Best wishes on your research!
