I have an intense love of history and archaeology. I'm a 911 operator, and in my spare time I work on these cemeteries locally. It is very important to me that these people are remembered and that the information on their memorials is accurate. For instance, I searched for the burial of one individual that was actually listed in 3 different cemeteries in my county. I finally located the actual burial and asked the other two memorials to be taken down. As wonderful as find-a-grave is, it's only as accurate as the the information that those of us contribute. I also work in our resource library at the Thayer County Museum to find recorded dates of births and deaths, as well as our court house.
