I have been researching the families of my wife and mine for about thirty years. It is great to learn about family and their migrations. |
If anyone finds mistakes on my entries or would like to add information, please contact me. I have been going to cemeteries in my area and have been entering photos and info so many of my entries aren't family. It is always great to meet new family and friends.
Barton/Lambert/Goforth/Schooley/White/Miller/ Dunn/Massie/Eggers research is in IL, IA, IN, KY, ENG, MA, DE.
My wife's family
Gibson/McCandless/Turner/Dunn/Ramsey/Brammer/McCully/Wilson genealogy research is in MO, TN, PA, IN.
My wife and I have four children and nine grandchildren which makes our life very enjoyable and now we are blessed with seven great grandchildren. Besides searching for our family, I enjoy wood carving.
The Good Lord has blessed me in many ways!
Remember, "No one is truly gone, until they are forgotten".
With the memorials I have set up, if you find any mistakes, please let me know so I can get them corrected. I'm not perfect, but I strive for perfection in all that I try to do on Find A Grave.
When requesting links, please give me the name of the person plus the ID number. This insures I link the correct person, mother, father or spouse.
On ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, LINKS or TRANSFERS for any Memorial, PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON and Suggest A Correction or provide additional information. Any of the above posted on my message board will be ignored and deleted.
IN OTHER WORDS, SEND A SAC! Please, no bulk transfer requests!
I will be happy to transfer to a relative if it is within the Find A Grave guidelines, otherwise it will be at my discretion. Please state your relationship of the memorial you want transferred. Just saying they are family is not acceptable.
We want the memorials of those we loved to be as nice as possible.
My Hotmail account is down so use my Yahoo email. Please send all messages to (email@example.com) until further notice.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
Yes, if you could please add a link to Mae Calhoon, that would be great. Her name can be read on the lower half of W.L. Calhoon's Headstone.
These are my great-great grandparents, so I appreciate the effort to link them here for others to more easily find.
Here they are together on the 1920 Census. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MXLH-24L?treeref=LJVZ-63M%3Bhttps%3A%2F%2Ffamilysearch.org%2Flinks-gadget%2Flinkpage.jsp%3F%26entityId%3DLJVZ-63M%26sourceId%3DMS23-QMM%26referrer%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Ffamilysearch.org%252Ftree%252F%2523view%253Dancestor%2526person%253DLJVZ-63M%2526spouse%253DLJVZ-6HK%2526parents%253DKNSJ-9LL_LHXC-4YD%26entityType%3Dpersons%26edit%3Dfalse%26showOrds%3Dtrue%26showPhotos%3Dtrue%23esp&from=lynx1
I can provide more sources if that helps.
My research has her name as Bertha Mae Norman, born 1886 in Paris, France.
|Julie McCauley||Clara Lee Dizmang|
Leon, would you mind if I used the photo of Clara Lee Dizmang's stone Find A Grave Memorial# 40261351 in my Family Tree?
She was the daughter of Henry C Dizmang, my grandfather, from his first marriage.

|Louise Robbins||Obedience Goforth|
I was looking at her findagrave information and noticed that she was born in 1781 and died in 1863 but her tombstone says she died in the 77 year of her life. So which is correct? findagrave #23425127.
|Judy Mayfield||RE: Jamison C Dunn|
You are welcome to use the photo. Thanks for letting me know. Enjoy.
|Robert Thompson||Jacob Elroy Thompson and associated markers|
Leon, My name is Bob Thompson and I noticed that you had included in the Fairview Cemetery section the names of my Grandfather, Great Grandfather and my Dad, Dwight Thompson. I have two items to satisfy my curiosity, 1. Are you related to the Thompson family? and 2. You can also add the Burrell and Dern markers associated with the Thompson family buried at the Fairview Cemetery. My grandfather, Jacob, was one of the founding fathers of Montezuma, KS, 6 miles southwest of the cemetery. His name is on a marker at the High School. My dad, Dwight told me that at one time the town was starting near the cemetery's location but when the railroad came through, it missed. They jacked up the houses, mule teamed them to the present location and started again. Dwight's ashes are buried in Longmont, CO, next to mom, Lora Ann Thompson / Downey. I may have some photos of other markers in the cemetery but amongst different data in my house. My hope is that you already have these in your collection.

I am pretty sure it is correct by records we have. The child listed is not hers either as I have the name of her children . I have edited that person that has that site. AS she has no child in Indiana..
If I am wrong I will make sure it is changed back.
