Update about adding obituaries and scanned documents, July 2019

Email from FindAGrave authorities:

So many people have added obituaries to memorials that I manage, I was concerned and contacted the administrators and asked them if it was alright to add these either in the bio area or the photo area.

This was their response

Greetings...

Since the move to Ancestry and the new website, newspaper obituaries, death certificates and other scanned documentation is allowed. We encourage members to move the images down to the bottom of the photo display so that they are not the first thing you see when viewing a memorial page.

Thank you,

Hopefully I have improved the number of entries and photos in the Graves County, Kentucky area, along with updating GPS coordinates on the cemeteries. If you have someone who needs a new photo or a cemetery that needs an updated photo feel free to contact me.

Birthday calculator is very useful.

If I took a photo of your family member, then it is yours to do with as you wish. I have found this important for people using Ancestry or other sites, many people don't like you using their photos...you can use mine. This is our history which is public knowledge. If you already have a stone set with your name on it in any graveyard, then it's possible you will be on this web site with an unknown death date and it's a normal occurrence. Depending on the time of day you are in a graveyard greatly determines the quality of pictures, if I have too many on there just let me know and I'll remove some. I am also diligently trying to link the family members together. I encourage your help and participation.

I will happily hand over any profile I create, if they are not directly related to me. I had rather family OR someone with an interest in the family, manage the memorials, just ask for it thru the edit tab and give me your link number (or I will not know who to transfer it to). Not everyone has a paid ancestry account, therefore information is very valuable.
