Bio and Links
Bio Photo Spent 40 years in education from the high school classroom and coaching to college administration, including 15 years in public safety administration. Marine Vietnam veteran. Currently retired and trying to combine info on Ancestry.com with Findagrave in order to put info on folks that were instrumental in the development of Lisbon Falls. Also interested in veterans' gravesite information, and of course my own ancestors, esp on my mother's side that I can trace back to the 1500s.
(and yes, like thousands of others, I can trace back a family connection to President John Adams)

I too want to thank you for this young man's memorial page. I didn't know him but through this memorial, I now feel as if I do. I lost a family member in Long An Province in the Mekong Delta in 1969 - he was 21. It left an empty place that will never be filled. We owe so much to those who serve their country, including my Dad for WWII. Thank you again for the memorial, and an even bigger thanks to those who gave all.

Bob,
Even though I didn't know Bill, I was moved by the memorial you wrote for him. He was an exceptional young man and I beleive you were too. I respect and admire all our men who serve and Vietnam was a conflict above all others. Thank you for your service and dedication to your friend.

A Facebook posting was just made asking if anyone knows of a veteran in an unmarked grave...I submitted Ken's Find A Grave memorial page. Maybe, just maybe, he will end up with a well deserved headstone.

Hello,
I talked to the cemetery sexton to confirm the location of the grave to only find out upon visiting the cemetery that Kenneth lies in an unmarked grave. It always saddens me when a veteran's grave is not marked. He is buried in the same plot as his parents and sisters. The baby sister also lies in an unmarked grave. I requested he be linked to his parents on Find A Grave. So, so sorry for not providing you with a photo of his headstone. I could take a picture of just the grass but it bothers me too much.

Thank you for serving our country,
Kateri

RE: Vinton Earle
I found a list for Hillside in Feb 2014. His name was on the list so I added it. As I said I will remove mine when you move yours. His name should be in Hillside as he has a stone. Let me know if you move yours.
