I'm researching my roots Kocher and Hurin/Huron in Hendricks County Indiana, Kirkham's in Shelby and Jennings county, and Lee or Lea in Shelby county and Hoop's in Shelby county. I'm just getting started so it's lots of fun!!
Please stop and leave a note for my dear sweet husband. He died way too young of cancer. He served our country in the U.S. Army for 20 years 1972-1992, he was retired. Memorial # 60585898

|Jayne Dunn||Smith Callon|
You have a memorial for Smith H. Callon. He was also married to my great aunt, Pansy Lenora Mix. They were married 27 Jan 1915 in Allen Co., IN. They had one son, Gerald, born 18 Sep 1915. They must have divorced because Pansy re-married and died in 1977 in Cincinnati. If you are interested in any info on Gerald, let me know. I have photos. Just thought you might want this info.

What a story. The best part was that he gave his life to Christ!! I've been searching the Kocher family from Northampton Co., PA. I am not related but have a relative that married into or connected to the family of Elias.

|Randy George||Alfred George Kocher|
Hi, My name is Randy George. I noticed that you placed flowers on the memorials for Alfred Kocher and his wife Anna. I was wondering if they are family to you. If they are then you and I are related as well. Alfred Kocher was the son of Katie Kocher nee. George. I do not have much on their family but if you would like I can forward what information to you that I have on the family. Also, if you have Ancestry.com I can invite you to my Family Tree. In any event thank you for placing flowers on the memorials.
|Lonnie S. Smith Jr.||Schell Family|
Hi my name is Lonnie Smith and I was talking to MsFoxRider and he created a memorial for a Schell who was a Kocher and I was woundering if you have any information for her, if you are related to Blanche Jessie Kocher Schell in the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Marlesburg PA
When I was a child, I lived on Hoop road in Shelby County. It was considered Boggstown even though it was a few miles from Boggstown.
There were only three houses on the entire street, ours, a vacant property and Mrs. Hoop's home. I never did catch her first name, I just called her Mrs. Hoop. She was a retired school teacher.
I came to find out that the house we lived in had belonged to her son, whom was accidentally crushed to death in his driveway while working on his vehicle. I do not know his name.
I remember that Mrs. Hoop was a very kind and wonderful woman, who would invite me over every day after school for a cold glass of milk, and chocolate covered graham crackers. The only thing that she asked in return was that I read to her. The books that were most interesting and that she seemed to love the most (and I enjoyed them as well) were her collection of Doctor Do Little books. Sometimes we would get so wrapped up into the books that my mother would have to come get me for dinner time. She was a blessing, and a wonderful soul. I wish I had more information to give you about her.

I am looking for Laura E Kocher who was living with her aunt and uncle John Rumble in the 1900 census in Pennsylvania, Luzerne but I do not know who her mother and father might be. Is Laura Elizabeth being born Sept 1890 in your family tree?
