My Indiana roots run deep with many of my ancestors arriving here before Indiana became a state in 1816. |
All my life I have been fascinated with cemeteries. Find-a-grave is a way to enjoy both interests.
I am working on documenting and correcting entries in the Monon,Indiana area cemeteries. Most of the memorials are not for my relatives. However, Monon is my hometown and I know many of the people or their descendant's. I hope my research will bring joy to others as they look to the lives that these memorials represent.
Please, feel free to copy and share any of the photos that I add to find-a-grave. Helping others find their roots is part of the joy of being a volunteer!

Thank you for linking the spouses in the Brown/Stamp family at Monon Cemetery. My godmother's family is from that area. These are her parents. Thank you.

I don't think I have an Uncle Ed? My grandfather was Lewis William Ward and his father was Jewell Francis Ward. You can see them in my memorials.
Do you have any Wards in your family? It's a gi-normous family! :)
There IS a memorial for John Caleb. I will have to look up the number for you.
I don't recognize "King the Clother". What is that, Lorie?

Lorie, I added a photo to the Find A Grave#166238226 memorial, but I noticed the dates aren't the same on the headstone as you indicated per her Death Certificate. I noticed you're responsible for both memorials. IS THIS THE SAME GIRL?
Mary Ehrlich is buried within 10 feet of her Grandparents, Peter & Mary Ehrlich, and her aunt, Elizebeth headstone is in between them.
Is it possible the headstone engraver made a mistake, or are there two separate girls who have near identical birth/death dates. If the memorials are for the same child, then one should be deleted.
