Bio Photo Thank you for checking the graves that I have added. If you have any additions, corrections or pictures to add, please contact me. As a fellow genealogist I welcome hearing from you. I will answer/and/or make the corrections in what I hope is a timely manner.

However, I have sadly learned over the years, that there are a few ungracious or nasty people out there. I will not answer such messages...also remembering you. I used to be more willing to transfer graves upon request, if I have not put a lot of work into them. I have put many, many hours into some of these families. However, I have found that most people do not even send a thank you or acknowledgement when I do this. There are a few very gracious exceptions, and I really appreciate it. I also try to acknowledge who sent me new information in the FAG bio, which I believe to be only right. However, I found that it does not always go both ways.

Many years ago I wrote a small book on the Critser & related famlies.
If you have any information or pictures to add for this book, please let me know. I know that there are many mistakes in it, since it was written long before computers became popular.

Find A Grave for James W. Davis
Ms. Bauman....I am the sister of James W. Davis, of Brookston, Indiana who passed away on May 12, 2012. His date of birth is wrong. It is 9/26/1945 not 9/25/1945. The family and I would appreciate it if you would have this changed. Thank you so very much and a little early, but Happy Thanksgiving to you. Giselle A. (Davis) Richardson ;0)

Hello Alana: Thank you very much for posting all of my updates to Myndert Cornick, Eliza Ann Comstock Witbeck, Martin C Witbeck, Elizabeth Ann Miller, Evart C. Waldron & Ebenezer Shafer. Note: Eliza Ann is the 2nd gr. aunt of my wife. Yesterday, I visited this cemetery, it is overgrown. spoke with the Town Clerk, Town of New Scotland as well as with secretary for the Voorheesville Methodist Church. Assessment roll & tax map in name of Voorheesville Methodist Church Cemetery, formerly known as the Black Creek Church and Cemetery. It was established in 1823, relocated in Oct 1890, church and sheds were dismantled and moved about 1/2 mile to Village of Voorheesville and rebuilt, church still stands, wife & I were married there in 1867. My wife's gr grandfather Isaac Van Auken was helping the dismantling of the shed, got hit in the head with a beam, 29 Oct 1890, died the following week and was the first funeral at the new church. Old newspapers articles refer to the cemetery as the Black Creek Cemetery or Black Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. Curious as to how Neighborhood Burying Ground Cemetery came into play. Have yet to speak w/the church Historian. In any event. really appreciate your setting this cemetery up on Find A Grave. I found 6 headstones intact, photoed same, as well as site photos and assessors map & put them up on Find A Grave. Will try to find out more info on others buried there & poke around more for other stones, it was very overgrown. Bill Preston

RE: Harvey William Pierson
There are five markers on Sec N Lot 57. From South to North: Henry C Pierson 1847-1925; Annie L. Pierson 1856-1934; Harvey W. Pierson 1875-1965; Hattie Pierson 1878-1934 (Hattie and Harvey W share the stone), and Frances P 1918-1919. My guess is that the person in the Lane-Wood directory listed as Harvey died 1925 is actually Henry. The burial date of Harvey W is listed as 1985 and it should be 1965. I can check at the cemetery office when I find time.

Elsie Wood
Thanks for posting all of the information!

I noticed one mistake. You have Elsie O. Wood as the wife of Harry Grant Wood. This is incorrect. Elise was the wife of Phillips Sawyer Wood who is also buried in the Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, IN. Plot: Section O, Lot 93, Space 1. There is now a photo of their gravesite on the site which shows them buried together.

Elsie's last name was Otto.

Judy Kay Lewis Walker
Hi, I was wondering you would be so kind as to transfer Judy to me? She was my sister-in-law for 30+ years. I would sure appreciate it very much.

My number is 47812959

Thank you so much for taking the time to document her grave for us.

Thank you for your thoughfulness
I was forwarded the link to this web site by another family member researching a different family tree. My family greatly appreciates all your efforts in documenting the Emond family from Wolcott, IN. Reading the obit for Anna Emond was informative as we did not know the details of the car accident in which she was killed as the grandkids were all babies at the time. No obit is listed for Cy Emond but he died in a grain bin accident.

Bannard Blake
I'm not sure about Royal. He was married as Bannard, and his obit says Bannard. Where are you getting the information about Bannard being a nickname?
