I am from Charles City, Iowa, but have lived in the San Francisco Bay area for the past 46 years. My passion is genealogy. I add memorials to Find A Grave to help others find their long lost ancestors. |
If you have information you would like added, please email me & I will be happy to add it and will do so in a timely manner.
If a record I have added is of your family member, let me know and I will be glad to transfer the ownership to you. Also, feel free to use any of the headstone photos I've added for your own personal use.
I would also like to thank Diane Scott, Mia Houghton & W.J. Huisman for all the obits & info they have sent to me for my memorials.

I had not sent any money to Find A Grave for a while so I sponsored a few more distant relatives.
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,588 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is still almost 3 weeks away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you so much.
I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,
"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".
Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.
We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. You are all a blessing.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
|Catherine Lucas||Hattie Reid|
I wondered if you had a transcription for the gravestone picture you posted of Hattie Reid? If so, would you be kind enough to share it when you have an opportunity?
Thank you so much,

1 more request, there is another venz manning picture on memorial for louise venz that should be taken off 32213105 thanks Kathy
|Patty Wisher||ferdinand venz|
Hi Kathy thanks for taking that picture down, but there is 1 more for Ferdinand Venz, again the other branch of our family, memorial 32213104! Actually we haven't figured out how they are related yet, maybe someday!
|Patty Wisher||Anna Venz|
Hi Kathy, I am Patty Wisher, the one who helped Chris find Emil's mother! Can I ask you to take the Venz, Manning stone picture off the memorial for Anna Venz, as she is not related to that part of our family! Thank you if you could do that!

|Loretta Lynn Layman||Ellison Lynn - Memorial #59645755|
Hi Kathy. I see that Ellison's gravestone places his birth in about 1830. While that's not precise, you might want to add it anyway so that he appears in correct birth order among the children listed for his parents, James Lynn and Nancy Ellis Lynn.
Loretta (Lynn) Layman
|Sue Oliver||Grace Elizabeth Riley|
Thank you for posting Grace's information on Findagrave. I didn't know that she existed until maybe 6 years ago. She was my grandpa's little sister. I have more information about Grace if you would like to add it.
Grace's parents were Robert Riley and Lovina Law-Riley. Grace was born 16 Oct 1918 in Charles City, Iowa and died 26 Jan 1919 in Charles City, Iowa. She had one older brother, Roy Earl Riley (later adopted by his maternal grandparents and name was changed to Roy Law when his mother died in 1920). Her mother, Lovina, is buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery. If I am remembering my notes correctly, Grace died from pnuemonia or influenza.
