I am so grateful to this site and the people who maintain it, especially those who have so graciously helped me. My family roots include Harder/Beckmann(German immigrants), Johnson/Casey (Arkansas), Hudson/Troxel (Mississippi/Missouri), and Dickenson/Dick/Palm (Iowa/Kansas/Ohio). I am the great-granddaughter of Charles W. Palm, who died in Santa Rosa as a result of the 1906 San Francisco Bay Area earthquake. Discovering him on Find A Grave was the beginning of my now-obsession with my genealogy. I will happily share any info that will help others find loved ones.|
If I can help anyone by photographing a grave in the area of Contra Costa County where I live, please let me know.

Thanks, I didn't know. I've linked the two daughters to Elizabeth 121644501. I'll transfer them and delete my duplicate, after I let the other contributor know she's welcome to any data in it.

Hi, I'd have replied sooner, but have been running around in circles. I know what you mean about Edom Shugart's diary. Fortunately, at least some of the people managed to retrieve at least some of their lives, seems like a tribute to the human spirit.
I want to look at your family tree notes soon, but haven't had a chance yet. Let me hear, as you find more of your Troxel family. I have a virtual cemetery for the 1952 trip on my Findagrave contributor page, if that's of help to you.
Some of the people were probably buried in established cemeteries, but I don't have that data. More than one cemetery on the same creek, etc.

|Tom Mauer||Albert Hubbell|
Hi I believe this to be Albert Hubbell whom enlisted into Company B 1st Minnesota Heavy Artillery on Aug 9 1864 at Mantorville Dodge County Minnesota at the age of 19. I also sent a request for update on his birth year. I figure he was born about 1845. Please let me know what you think.

Pamela, You are welcome. Let me know if you need further finds at Evergreen. Happy searching. Warmly, Rosemary

I meant to say that I have no known relationship with the Conwell family.

I was glad to help you with this request. I was driving by on the way to airport and wondered if there were requests. I checked and there you go. Anyway, it was my pleasure!

I was able to find a death record for the baby that was born after Tom. She died of marasmus (failure to thrive) 2 days after her mother. I'll try to get out to the cemetery in a day or so to take a photo of the headstone.

Anytime I find a date that is different on the headstone and F.A.G., I send a request for change to F.A.G. My friend and I do try to scrape off the linchens and brush off anything we can to get to the information on the stones. Some are so brittle and falling apart we do not attempt to clean them.
