I have been interested in my family history since I was in college. Since I got married, I have had fun finding information on both my wife's as well as my own family history.

I am a relative newcomer to Find A Grave but have made it into a family project with my daughter who loves to go look for graves. She keeps me looking when sometimes it seems hopeless.

If you need a picture of a grave in York County, Pennsylvania we will do our best to get it.

RE: John Wyckoff grave
You're very welcome. It's too bad the gravestone is so worn, but it's actually in better shape than many of the other stones in that little family cemetery, which is now completely surrounded by a very urbanized part of NYC; some have fallen over, a few have been vandalized, and many apparently have disappeared since first being documented about 100 years ago.
The good news is that the church that owns the cemetery (All Saints Episcopal) has been working on getting the overgrown vegetation under control and documenting the people buried there. I thought I would do my part my taking as many pictures of the visible gravestones left before there is any more "wear and tear," so to speak.

Did you know that someone else has Jacob buried in another cemetery? Which is it: Oak Hill or Old Mission? He cannot be buried in both!

RE: Joseph Miller
You're welcome. I used find a grave in my search and the photos gave me lots of clues. It was good too, to see that the care was being taken of the grave site.
